I am devastated at Breitbart’s death. He was the only one in the media willing to dig and get to the truth. Who said there are no such things as co-incidences? What are the odds that a man of 43 who had the stamina of Goliath, dies on a dark street alone late at night, 10 months before the most important election in the 300 year history of our nation. Our way of life hangs in the balance. Breitbart announces there are “videos”. He mentions March 1; and now he is dead.’

  1. mawm says:

It does sound suspicious. Lets hope the ‘tapes’ get aired anyway. The Obama Admin is a criminal organisation full of anarchists, left-wing extremists, Marxist academics and union thugs……..and some who are not beyond arranging the disappearance or death of those who could bring it down. Barry himself is just the pretty boy rolled out to court the lame-brained.

The other guy who should ensure that he has a few good friends around him at all times if Sheriff Joe.

  2. The Gantt Guy says:

I’m not normally one fr coincidences, but in this case I think it was. Breitbart had a massive heart attack a couple of years ago (he was 40) but refused to modify his lifestyle.

This topic was discussed by Bill Whittle (Breitbart’s close friend) in the PJTV tribute:

    http://www.pjtv.com/?cmd=mpg&mpid=174&load=6686

That said, we’re I Sheriff Joe I would be sleeping with friends outsid the door and a Smith n Wesson under the pillow. I dnt think there’s any depth to which Ercih “Fast and Furious” Von Holder won’t sink to keep is man in the White House (and keep his job, too).

  3. Redbaiter says:

Gantt, if you were going to kill a guy who had a record of heart attacks, and you wanted to make it look like a natural event, what method would you choose?

And why not do it on the day Sherrif Jo’s findings came out and media-wise, kill two birds with one stone?

    Just sayin’.

    • The Gantt Guy says:

Dude had been drinking and was walking alone in LA in the middle of the night. A mugging might be another viable option.

And I don’t think even zero is stupid enough to believe getting rid of Beitbart would stop the tapes getting out. Zero would know that Breitbart knew how explosive the tapes were, and would have taken precautions. And I guess we’ll see in a couple days whether what’s on the tapes would be worth killing for.

You all have a much deeper Machiavellian streak than I. I’m not saying they didn’t get rid of him – there was a pretty long list of folks who would like to, and I imagine the ACORN people are still pretty pissed off – I’m just saying there was a little context that hasn’t necessarily come out in much of the commentary.

  4. Redbaiter says:

Gantt, I’d say there’s only a small chance he was killed by Obama, but I would never discount it completely.

That commie POS and his gang are capable of anything.

  5. KG says:

“That commie POS and his gang are capable of anything.”
They surely are. So perhaps a healthy degree of paranoia (is there such a thing? Is there a psych in the house?) may be prudent.

  6. KG says:

“You all have a much deeper Machiavellian streak than I.”
After some years of watching the murkier side of government agencies I reached the conclusion that for them, nothing is out of bounds.

  7. MIchael in Nelson says:

Now if Steve Bannon has a heart attack (or a tragic accident) before the tapes come out, it won’t be a conspiracy ‘theory’ anymore.

    • KG says:

I’d take that as pretty good evidence, Michael.

      • Darin says:

Ya,how does it go,one is a tragedy, two is a trend.Given this admins penchant to subvert the law at every opportunity and given the fact that the DOJ and Holder would not prosecute anyone if caught doing such a thing it all beings to make a possibility more possible.

  8. The Gantt Guy says:

Here’s an update to the tribute from PJTV yesterday. Bill Whittle’s Afterburner tribute to Breitbart…

    http://youtu.be/95-C8uPez50

    Pretty wise words, I reckon.

  9. Redbaiter says:

Mark Levin today on the “media”. (Rush Limbaugh is under attack for calling a commie slut a slut) I don’t think there is any group of people I detest more than the far left media and their Hollywood and academic supporters.

I want the leftists at MSNBC, CNN, and the other so-called news outlets who are dressed up as journalists but are nothing of the sort, I want you to understand something. You don’t get to decide who the rest of us listen to. You don’t get to decide who the rest of us admire. You’re not going to succeed in driving Rush Limbaugh from the airwaves. I don’t care how many cowardly Republicans you speak to. I don’t care how many inside-the-beltway pseudo-conservatives you speak to and so forth.

Our nation is teetering. Everything we believe in is being undermined. The future for our children and grandchildren is perilous. And you in the media do the bidding of the very politicians who have brought us to this dire state. You don’t get to dictate to us. You don’t even get to influence us, try as you might.

Rush isn’t going anywhere because there’s tens of millions of us standing by his side. And we’re not going anywhere either.

You say nothing about the unconstitutional acts of this president. You say nothing of the policies that are bankrupting our nation. You do nothing to expose the lies and deceit of this administration. In fact, if you’re not covering it up, you’re cheering it on. This is why we have no respect for you, why your audience and readership are plummeting and will continue to.

No we will not let you take down Rush or anyone else. In fact, I think I speak for tens of millions of Americans when I say you can go to hell.

    • Darin says:

He is exactly right as usual!

And speaking of unconstitutional acts
      http://rt.com/usa/news/348-act-tresspass-buildings-437/

    • mawm says:

Powerful words. They just need to get spread to a wider audience.

    • Andrei says:

Rush Limbaugh is under attack for calling a commie slut a slut

She did claim in congressional testimony she spends $3000 a year on contraceptives – She thinks her Jesuit University should be paying for them.

Fairly clear cut in my view.

    • Pascal says:

They’re playing it as Rush hurt the poor little dear’s feeling, the monster! I personally don’t like using that sort of language even as I have little qualms calling our SKUNCs monsters.

So, I came up with the question for Sandra Fluke to consider the alternative description: Is Tool better than Slut?

    • Pascal says:

“In fact, if you’re not covering it up, you’re cheering it on. “

I offer US$100 to the first person who can come up with the recording or the transcript for the proceedings of the National Press Club that was broadcast on National Public Radio sometime between 1988-1992 in which every speaker declared how America needed to be subjected to Draconian rule. I know it happened because I heard it. It’s the smoking gun. Find it and get a nice little reward, plus you get the recognition of retrieving from out of the Memory Hole something so damaging to the reputation of the MSM. You will want the transcript and the names of the speakers (and a roster of those in attendance if that is available.)

  10. KG says:

If it flies like a slut, squawks like a slut and looks like a slut..
    it’s a slut.
And fully deserves to be treated as one.

  11. KG says:

Interestingly, didn’t a whole bunch of women indulge in something called a “slutwalk” demonstration recently? So, where’s the problem with the language?
Or is it like “nigger”, allowed to be used only by Approved Persons?

    • The Gantt Guy says:

See, you’re obviously both raaaaacccccciiiissssssttttt and sssssseeeeeexxxxxxxiiiiiissssssstttttt. You give the rest of us (the enemy of the Approved Persons) a good name.

    • WAKE UP says:

I believe there were some nigger sluts there too

  12. Pascal says:

    Shit. Rush caved!

    March 03, 2012

For over 20 years, I have illustrated the absurd with absurdity, three hours a day, five days a week. In this instance, I chose the wrong words in my analogy of the situation. I did not mean a personal attack on Ms. Fluke.

I think it is absolutely absurd that during these very serious political times, we are discussing personal sexual recreational activities before members of Congress. I personally do not agree that American citizens should pay for these social activities. What happened to personal responsibility and accountability? Where do we draw the line? If this is accepted as the norm, what will follow? Will we be debating if taxpayers should pay for new sneakers for all students that are interested in running to keep fit? In my monologue, I posited that it is not our business whatsoever to know what is going on in anyone’s bedroom nor do I think it is a topic that should reach a Presidential level.

My choice of words was not the best, and in the attempt to be humorous, I created a national stir. I sincerely apologize to Ms. Fluke for the insulting word choices.

  13. Redbaiter says:

    Yep disappointing, but not unexpected.

    He married a liberal.

Had Elton John sing at his wedding.

Has never gone after the fake president, and ignored Sheriff Joe’s findings.

Instead went for the narrative (birth control) the left seek to make one of the main election issues.

One should never apologize to the left.

All Rush has done in apologizing, (and therefore admitting he did wrong,) is give them more ammunition to call for his removal from the airwaves.

This shows that we need far more than radio personalities to win our cause.

    • Pascal says:

This is blood in the water for the agitpropping Marxists. It will give a boost to Occupy.

You think it could have been deliberate RB?

      • Redbaiter says:

Well, I have always thought that Limbaugh did it primarily for the money, and Beck even more so.

        • The Gantt Guy says:

That’s the only reason for the apology, Red. It was a trap and he walked right into it. He lost 5 corporate advertisers (millions of dollars) as a direct result of that one monologue (ignoring the arguments about whether, if they’re *that* fickle, they’re worth having in the first place), so clearly felt he had little choice.

The worst of it is it gave Zero a nice photo-op with the poor wee girl who the Big Bad White Man was being mean to.

          • Redbaiter says:

Research is showing Obama’s vote is down in left liberal Marxist bitch land. (Think the Hand Mirror).

This is the strategy to win it back.

(Same as the FBI’s sudden attack on file sharers is an attempt to win Hollywood back.)

  14. Redbaiter says:

Pascal what amazes me is the complete lack of strategical foresight on the right.

Why are they all such fucking babies??

All Limbaugh’s apology does is give the left more ammunition.

They will say its not good enough and continue to call for his resignation.

It is so fucking obvious. Why the fuck cannot Rush Limbaugh see it? This is just straight out gutless caving to the fucking commies and shows why we are losing and they are winning.

The bitch is a liar and a fake and Limbaugh should hit her harder.

    FFS..

    Always too ready to surrender.

    • Pascal says:

In my activities in my community, Rush has never been a help and always harmful. Because he said things close to what I have always said, I got called a Ditto-Head by the Leftists who used him to marginalize me and shut me down from making presentations without enormous heckling. That was back in the early 90s. Meanwhile my small group of like-minded conservatives didn’t know how to fight back, and we got whittled down by our own not understanding what we were up against. We did not and still do not have the agit-prop training that they have, so in that alone is to our disadvantage. We need “summer camps” of our own.

I have an excerpt in my sidebar about not trusting talkradio which only repeats what you and I are saying because it’s simple commonsense. Those talkers are allowed to make big bucks with books that make them millions based on what people like you and I tell them.

So in the end, it takes an alliance across the globe between people like you and me to keep telling our point of view and supporting each other. I’ve missed your hard work, and I’m sure I am not alone. I surely hope you are the one who can find that “Draconian” themed National Press Club record. It reveals the deadly nature of the media — a media that includes talk radio and Fox news. I’d love to find out that Bill O’Reilly was in attendance — because somehow he has never mentioned it. The best he could do when confronted would be “I don’t recall.”

  15. KG says:

    “Always too ready to surrender.”
Why the surprise? They are not conservatives, they are mere entertainers who have identified a market niche and exploited it. Brilliantly.
Make no mistake, these people are no different to those we regard as the enemy. They have far, far more in common with them, with the liberal elite than they do with ordinary working American conservatives.
They won’t be at the barricades.

  16. Redbaiter says:

Plenty of people went out on a limb for Rush, (Mark Levin included), and while they were doing that, he was busy sawing through it.

    • Pascal says:

Yep, it’s demoralizing to those who think Rush is on their side. Once again, it’s up to those of us who really care and don’t really have large bucks at stake.

If I said it once I said it a hundred times. The conservative I attempt to be is the one who defends principles and traditions that work. Then there are the conservatives who fight to preserve the status quo. Woe to us when the large moneyed interests wind up influencing and controlling our side of the aisle — because they look at those with principles as rocking the boat and the knife in our back is what we can expect.

  17. KG says:

At the end of the day, it’s all just words and we’re almost out of time. Words aren’t enough to derail the statist juggernaut–they never were.
This will be decided on the streets, with firebombing and guns and riots.

  18. Kris K says:

The trouble with pseudo-conservatives like Limbaugh when it comes to crunch time and the piper calls:

1Ti 6:9 But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.
1Ti 6:10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

People who won’t stand on principle alone – even if it means being unpopular and financial loss – are not those we want representing us in the halls of power.

    • KG says:

We have exactly the ones we, the people, deserve representing us in the halls of power.
We did it. By complacency and apathy and greed and stupidity.

  19. Darin says:

I see it a bit differently. We need to keep a few things in mind here.Rush was one of the very first popular conservative voices out there.I remember American talk radio and TV for before he came along and there was basically nothing other than the MSM.One story one view and that was it.He built his street creds there AFAIC.

The reason why conservatives don’t stick together as a cohesive front is because of the moderates and outright double agents if you will ,the RINO’s.The very first sign of controversy and out come the knives. The left will always feign shock and carry on like titty babies, that’s expected. It’s when supposed conservatives come out stabbing and slashing that does the damage. We had Scott Brown,Greta Susteren and half the Fox news babes shrieking just as loud as the left this week and that is what caused the damage. The big fair weather conservative pile on.

Rush got his point across,it got peoples attention and those people read up on the controversy .They now know the truth about Mrs Fluke and her roll in this.No conservative or liberal minds were changed in this whole thing.Changing a few independents minds was the only thing at stake.

Where many have screwed the pooch is forgetting that Rush is not a news anchor or commentator. He does not work for any media outlet or network,he is his own network,he’s not going anywhere.
His move came this weekend, the end of this news cycle by Monday it will all be blown over.He lost a few sponsors, that’s money out of his pocket sure. The left rallies and the right did nothing to counter it.The primary reason Rush apologized is to get the story out of the news so the focus gets back where it should be which is on Obama and his failings.

    • KG says:

You may well be right, Darin.
But what pisses a lot of people off is this: The left make outrageous claims about people like S. Palin (f’rinstance), describe conservatives in the foulest of terms and they almost never apologise, even when they’re shown to be liars and cheats and fabricators. They don’t apologise because they recognise that they are at war.
Yet high-profile conservatives cave in to the howling, yapping jackals of the left at the drop of a hat, issuing apologies and eating crow in some misguided belief that they’re holding on to the moral high ground.
Fuck it. I’m sick of it.
Either we’re at war with these bastards or we’re not. If it’s war, then anything goes, and I mean anything.
Conservatives need to grow a pair.

      • The Gantt Guy says:

Exactly. Ex-farking-actly. Bill Arsehole Maher is baiting Rush. His logic is he can get away with calling Gov. Palin a c**t because he’s on HBO and doesn’t have to placate sponsors! I won’t link to the clip because it almost made me puke and I won’t subject anyone else to it. It’s on Breitbart’s site if you’re that keen.

        • KG says:

We can dream, and perhaps one day pricks like him will get exactly what they deserve.
Which is a few grains of lead at 2000fps.

          • Darin says:

I believe what we need is an effective attack machine, not one that blows a draft of hot air in the public forum, but one that digs into these a–holes private lives and brings up dirt.

AB had the right idea, catch these a–holes in their own words and post it up for the world to see.

      • Pascal says:

Er, Darin. I was pretty sure your observation that”by Monday it will all be blown over.” was just wishful thinking. Rush’s apology emboldens the bastards. I added emphasis to the following statement just to show how in on the Left’s theme these CEOs can be.

A Statement from David Friend, CEO of Carbonite:

“No one with daughters the age of Sandra Fluke, and I have two, could possibly abide the insult and abuse heaped upon this courageous and well-intentioned young lady. Mr. Limbaugh, with his highly personal attacks on Miss Fluke, overstepped any reasonable bounds of decency. Even though Mr. Limbaugh has now issued an apology, we have nonetheless decided to withdraw our advertising from his show.

        http://www.carbonite.com/en/blog

Yep, Sandy Fluke took her life in her hands setting herself up for ridicule. Her level of courage adds to the dictionary a vast new meaning to that word .

And well-intentioned. Seeking out a Catholic university she knew had rules that she could challenge. That statement takes well-intentioned down to a whole new level.

Customer notes: If you have used Carbonite to backup your computer’s memory, and you are a commenter anywhere on the web — Leftist, moderate, conservative, whatever — I’d be concerned that whatever information is on your computer may now be in the hands of the enemy.

        • KG says:

Fluke is being portrayed by the media (and Obama) as a “courageous young lady”
Oh yeah? Take a look at this:
          http://dailycaller.com/2012/03/03/meet-law-student-and-contraception-advocate-sandra-fluke/

          • Pascal says:

How did the Daily Caller not break out in laughter when it wrote the following without scorn quotes around the descriptors in the sentence?

The victimized co-ed even received a phone call from President Barack Obama in the wake of the onslaught. [emphasis added — Ed. P]

This is why I redefined PC as, by its wielders, as Political Cowering, and by its victims as Politically Cowered with the pun intended on that last one.

The object of this whole setup, with media complicity all but guaranteed, was to silence anyone who sees the evidence that this was a setup, by making the decries seem callous to the feelings of a political tool “courageous and well-intentioned young lady.”

            • Darin says:

Pascal,Rush doesn’t work for anyone but himself and don’t think for one minute any of the stations he’s on are going to drop the goose that laid their golden egg.

So far as Carbonite, have you done as I have and wrote them a complaint letter regarding their dropping Rush?I did and I didn’t mince words either.

Rush caught more heat from “conservatives” than he did the MSM and the liberals combined. They are the ones fanning the flames.

George Will pseudo-conservative today not only bashed Rush, but also offered up the following advice-“republicans should just give up trying to defeat Obama and instead should focus on the Senate and congress”WTF? who’s side is he on?

              • Pascal says:

Well, if you are right about it all blowing over by Monday, and that it will end there, then we both will be happy.

I wrote off George Will as a sell-out the day he went to work for ABC to be their punching bag. Viewers might be outraged by his treatment, but never George.

That was way back when David Brinkley was still the anchor and Sam Donaldson was still living off having been Ronald Reagan’s punching bag. Seems clear now that it was a trade that played, in the end, well for the Statists.

  20. KG says:

“I believe what we need is an effective attack machine, not one that blows a draft of hot air in the public forum, but one that digs into these a–holes private lives and brings up dirt.”
Yes! Something I’ve been saying for years. Employ good PI’s and use the information to force resignations (media people) and voting patterns (politicians). And it would be a comparatively cheap exercise. Simply bypass the whole idea of using publicity directly, rather use the threat of it as a lever.

  21. WAKE UP says:

“…The reason why conservatives don’t stick together as a cohesive front is because of the moderates and outright double agents if you will ,the RINO’s.”

Another reason is that Conservatives are essentially INDIVIDUALS, less biddable, and thus harder to mass, unlike dumb-shit leftards. We gotta find more ways of pulling/acting TOGETHER.

  22. Pascal says:

Jeesh! I’m sorry now KG for highjacking the thread with the news of Rush’s apology and the consequences which will now only grow. I should have started a new thread. Duh! Shows how lacking in foresight I can be.

Ultimately the two stories fit. They are both about media partisanship and turning a blind eye when it fits the narrative.

This reminds me of when Dennis Prager was still worth listening to and he made an issue of the overuse of words so that they became meaningless.

    Courageous? Well-intentioned? victimized? Onslaught? Really?/s

We are in for a world of hurt if balancing voices are not permitted a hearing. Hey — that’s a subject of yet ANOTHER of your threads. :)

  23. KG says:

No such thing as a hijacked thread in CR, Pascal. We simply don’t mind if people wander off-topic. (in fact, it can be a lot of fun).
