    A good read.

I hope its not like this where you live now.

Where the damn hell are you these days ?

      • Redbaiter says:

I can’t blog as I want to make it continuous and I just cannot spare the time to do that right now.

I’m up to my arse in alligators at work and have been all this year and can’t see any relief for some months if then.

        Thanks for asking.

    • WAKE UP says:

      That’s a damn good – and deeply depressing – article, RedB .

    • Cadwallader says:

Thanks for this….I think? This article ought come with the warning that it be read while intoxicated as it must be the most bleak writing I have seen in a long time. FFS!!!!

  2. KG says:

    God, what a depressing article!
“Even more frightening are the thousands in our society — journalists, politicians, academics, activists — who get up each morning more concerned about the fleeing driver who destroys power and vines than the victims who pay for the carnage…”
Exactly. The law-abiding are left to pick up the tab and the law-abiding are the first to be harassed by bureaucrats who have made this situation possible.
No, this little town we live in isn’t like that yet. We have no crime, no graffiti, no mobs of yoofs wandering the streets at night. And when we go shopping the car is left with the engine running outside the shop so the aircon keeps it cool, along with other people doing the same.
There was, apparently, one family with criminal kids a while ago, but they were put under so much pressure by the locals they left town.

      • Redbaiter says:

Boring weather is not such a bad thing..

        • KG says:

True–and we have the Wet to look forward to. Apparently the electrical storms out this way are humungous. :whoop

          • Darin says:

That article hits home, last year I had an antique Corn Sheller stolen off my parents old homestead.I was going to restore it,Thing was probably 120 years old,all cast iron, large curved spoke flywheels it had survived all that time without a single broken piece. The folks who made it where craftsmen who cared about detail and quality even on such a common item.

Gone in an instant, probably to come back as a piece of Chinese garbage at the dollar store. The meth heads that stole it probably didn’t get $5 for it.
What really pisses me off is,all of the theft around here occurs when folks like myself are busy at work.Of course if I had been home the two thieves would have been found dead a short distance from where they dropped it.
My lefty liberal neighbor was shocked and appalled by my feeling towards the thieves.”You mean you would really shoot them and take their lives over property, what gives you the right?”

My response was “yes, dammit, they are busy taking my life one piece at a time after all, what gives them the right”

Probably some of her f–king kids that stole it

I’ve said it before we need to start punishing criminals again. We have a landfill problem here in the states,EPA says we can’t burn garbage to make power anymore,so we bury it to pollute the ground water instead :roll
My solution to this pollution is to take our juvenille offenders and chain them to a conveyor belt so they can sort the garbage by hand thereby reducing the landfill volume.I figure it would be better for the environment and after the 30,000th rotten baby diaper they’re attitudes might change. :rant

            • KG says:

Damn right. Something that’s often overlooked is that people who refuse to work and steal from the productive – and governments who steal from the productive in order to fund welfare for lowlifes – are in fact stealing hours and days of our lives.
So lethal force used to protect property is the civilized thing to do, within the real meaning of the word “civilized”.

              • Cadwallader says:

Agree. I am pleased to see that Corrections in NZ are contemplating cages for sex offenders and paedos. The only addition now would be to plunge the cages into vats of acid.

                • Darin says:

                  And ruin perfectly good acid?

No,better idea would be make up some really big Crab traps and use them for bait

                • Cadwallader says:

I adore you for being so colourful!

  3. The Gantt Guy says:

Erich Von Holder turning up the heat on the recalcitrant Sheriff Arpaio…

    http://abcnews.go.com/US/t/story/justice-dept-plans-sue-ariz-sheriff-arpaio-16314952#.T6rqt-iJcgo

    My money’s on the Sheriff

    • KG says:

The Sheriff will get little support from Republican leaders:
      ‘Republican “leaders”–this Administration’s allies.
‘Hold Attorney General Eric Holder in contempt? Not so fast, says House Republican leadership. Speaker John Boehner of Ohio, Majority Leader Eric Cantor of Virginia and Majority Whip Kevin McCarthy of California have decided to slow Rep. Darrell Issa’s drive to hold the attorney general in contempt over the controversial Fast and Furious program, a move that could infuriate conservatives who have been calling for Holder’s resignation…’
      http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0512/76135.html

      • The Gantt Guy says:

Pfft. Cowards, or collaborators? :rant :rant :rant

        • KG says:

Greedy, principles-free collaborators, in my view.

          • Darin says:

Collaborators, there was just a live focus group poll of dems and repubs and going after Holder polled 80% favorable in both groups.
I hate to tell these idiots, but a US Border agent and hundreds of Mexican officials deaths from this stupidity is a valid issue in an election year.Holder not being punished is just another example in the minds of many of deep seated injustice.

            • KG says:

There’s no question in my mind that this Administration’s grab for power and general corruption meets with the approval of Republican leaders. The power grabbed will be used by them when their turn comes.
They will never, NEVER turn back federal powers.

              • Darin says:

Good point, and probably very true. That’s why the Patriot Act remains intact and strengthened, now that the libs are in power they love it.

      • WAKE UP says:

I’ve never seen an American government more at war with its own people than the Obama regime .

  4. KG says:

 Jeez, Gantt, I just went over to Keeping Stock. You were right, it’s infested with feral scumbags.
Shit like that ought to be taken to the vet and put down.

    • The Gantt Guy says:

Yep for sure, Inv has an infestation and he’s too much of a gentleman to call the exterminators. Still. It gives somewhere to toy with them without having to completely abandon principle and go to Farrar’s!

      • KG says:

 I don’t think there’s anything “gentlemanly” about giving scumbags free reign though.

        • WAKE UP says:

I occasionally visit other blogs and have a bit of a stoush here ‘n there, but lately I’ve decided it’s not worth it – it’s like boxing with shadows (without any rules); they’re not even capable of actually READING what I write .

  5. KG says:

I was thinking..(yeah yeah, I know..) you could pop up here for a beer one Saturday morning. Good idea?

    • The Gantt Guy says:

The kind of thing one reads about in Clive Cussler novels!

      • Darin says:

Yes,there was rumor that Deep Six was going to be made into a movie, that might be worth $6

        • The Gantt Guy says:

$6? Where the hell can you go to the movies for $6?

          • Darin says:

At the local Megaplex,24 screens six of which are 4d-$6 Saturdays my friend, ain’t rabid Capitalism great? :whoop

  9. KG says:

    1. ‘President Barack Obama’s popularity among women, minorities and independents is giving him an early edge over his likely Republican rival, Mitt Romney, according to a new Associated Press-GfK poll.’
Which demonstrates yet again that most women and “minorities” can’t be trusted to look at the facts before voting.

Want to see Obama tout his foreign policy. Just wait until Iran releases Pastor Nadarkhani for a relaxing of sanctions. Why else would they allow a letter from him to be released?

  12. Andrei says:

Barrack Obama has “evolved” and right on cue so has John Key

    • kowtow says:

Some one made the excellent point that Obama is allowed to “evolve” while others are said to “flip flop”. The Msm really do give him a free ride.

John Key really has no sound conservative credentials,in the mould of the UK’s Cameron.

  13. Andrei says:

And Romney was a “gay basher”

Saul Alinsky is alive and well.

  14. mara says:

The Free World is in deep shit (pun intended) and its leader is concerning himself with the rights of men playing mummies and daddies and husbands and wives with each others dicks. I must be really thick because I can’t imagine why. :popcorn Really.

      OK Mara, I’ll bite.
I knew a guy who had a string of girlfriends, got married, had 4 daughters, got divorced, another string of girlfriends and then one day, in his mid-fifties met another ostensibly heterosexual man, married with kids, etc. and suddenly they were a couple. Unfortunately it all ended badly with a suicide of his partner. So he started dating all the queens around. Anyway the point of the story is that one day he said to me that the sex life in the gay community was absolutely fantastic – no hang-ups, no pretences of not behind cheap, no worries about what a person felt the next day – just plenty of fantastic erotic sex…….maybe there is a lesson there.

It sounds wonderful……except for HIV, etc. and the fact that I have this thing about women. Mmmmmnnnn…… :whoop :whoop :whoop

But stuck in a time-warp, looking at the photos in the link

      • KG says:

No idea why they use those photos, VonL. Weird. The place is nothing like that now.

    • KG says:

Thanks Carol. We just sat at a table outside and had an Indian meal. Lovely mild evening (about 25c) and the scenery coming into Isa was fabulous.

  18. The Gantt Guy says:

Trevor Loudon does a fantastic job of exposing the links between the DhimmiCunt Party and communists in the US, and has recently had a series on how Dem agents perpetrate massive voter fraud (well worth a read).

In a classic two-pronged attack, the Minions of the Chocolate Messiah now control who votes (and how many times), and also who counts the votes…

    http://www.westernjournalism.com/spanish-company-will-count-american-votes-overseas-in-november/

    • KG says:

Which famous commie said “it’s not who votes that counts, it’s who counts the votes”?
And still the Republican leadership refuses to do anything about it!

  19. mara says:

Anonymous, that guy you knew and the hot, free sex etc … he had a point of course. Most of the gays I’ve met said much the same. One memorable character, nice bloke, liked rough sex and was hospitalised a few times as a result. Another long term devoted couple, good mates I’ve known for yonks, are just the opposite. But none of these men, from memory, have any desire to “marry’. The call for it is coming from a small, very vocal minority. Also, now that HIV/AIDS is not considered life threatening any more, the action is heating up again. “Homophobia” is up there with “racism” as the worst possible human behaviours: it’s no wonder that the PC brigade is currently wetting its panties in the rush for gay “marriage” and the liberals are falling for it. Sigh.
