one day this will be more than merely theoretical.

‘…With modern computer driven weaponry at their fingertips, any resistance appears futile.  Some Americans, though, do their homework, and discover that most successful revolutions against better equipped opponents utilize low tech methods in highly intelligent ways.  They study the inherent weaknesses of the enemy weapons platforms using readily available online manuals and scientific journals.  They realize that these pieces of equipment costing millions of dollars each can be defeated using methods that cost little more than pocket change….’     source

  1. The Gantt Guy says:

One? Like mebbe November 7, 2012 when patriots realise the left have stolen a(nother) election and opened the way for His Imperial Majesty to REALLY fundamentally transform America?

    • Ronbo says:

If present trends continue, Obama may end up losing 40 to 49 states in the Electoral College in an awesome landslide defeat….

      This assumes an honest election.

If Obama steals the election by massive vote fraud – he has ignited the fire of civil war and signed his own death warrant as a traitor.

      • Al says:

Ronbo, that’s not what the smart money says.
Oby 1.45 Romney 2.55 at Centrebet.

        Xlent.
        Believe my money is smarter
And Hot Air is calling R as leading in Ohio…..rustbelt central.
        Portents and Omens.

  2. KG says:

Yes. That scenario is looking increasingly likely, despite the stories emerging in some quarters about the difficulties Obama faces getting re-elected.

  3. octagongrappler says:

Thats intersting, I saw a doco on sky about an alien invasion. Nukes did not work but in the end low tech weapons defeated them.

    • The Gantt Guy says:

A “documentary”* about an alien invasion? So it’s true then? Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones actually have those cool guns? Bill Paxman will save the world from Zero-voting Zombies and O-bots (well, that could actually happen)?

No Gantt this was on National Geographic and was a 2 hour special

    • The Gantt Guy says:

Oh, well that changes *everything*! National Geographic wouldn’t lie, would they?

They realize that these pieces of equipment costing millions of dollars each can be defeated using methods that cost little more than pocket change…

Then they are remarkably stupid – they think this only because leftist communists have prevented the US from using nuclear strikes for the last 70 years. For example, if Israel decided to solve the Iranian problem in the only conceivable way – counter value strikes on all major population centres – what “low tech” defences are even conceivable?

The fact that Iran remains a problem for Israel is purely because communists prevent Israel from acting in its own rational best interest – not because it is afraid of a few low-tech radioactive mutants.

  6. mawm says:

Simple really – low tech, high velocity missiles used selectively. It’ll only need a few grains of lead to magic the ruling class away. :popcorn

    • KG says:

Aye, Mawm. Why target the tools when it’s far more effective to target the user?

    • The Gantt Guy says:

      :whoop

Looks like about the most fun you can have with your pants on. I’d love to have the money to play around with that kind of stuff. Some of those weapons, especially the tripod-mounted rifle, look like they’d be fun to play with too!

      • KG says:

        Hell yes!

        • Darin says:

I have been for months been thinking of blasting them, but now I am more inclined to catch them.Maybe a bag charge with some Spectra fiber fishnet and a few Bolo balls on the corners.

Reason being-FREE DRONES! Change the RC frequency driver and receiver and presto Drones to do MY bidding

          • The Gantt Guy says:

Niiiiice! Use the enemy’s captured weapons on the enemy. I like it!

Hmm, reminds me of Kipling’s “Arithmetic on the Frontier”.
“… two thousand pounds of education

  9. Rufus says:

darn it, the smiley became the link again… here goes a retry

  10. Rufus says:

nope, I suck at this. :x

  11. Flashman says:

The sub-text to this is that these lines of thought are becoming ever more popular in American internet sources. As an early internet ‘digital immigrant’ [1990], I have never seen such intensity before.

It cannot possibly be said that The Big 0 has been a force for social cohesion in the United States.

Just recently on an other quite innocuous US-heavy gaming website, there was a huge shyte-fight over the use of the term “Jap” in relation to WW2 that ended in “the moderator” nixing posts and dishing out “that’s racist!” warnings to those having the temerity to use this everyday benign expression. [Ironically Sky’s History Channel last night featured a clip of no less a person than the US Secretary of State at the time of Pearl Harbor in which he asserted “the Japs” might have started it, but the US would end it.] The Big 0 has polarised Americans and injected into its enfeebled body an obsession with “race” virus. That will be his legacy.

The contrast between America of 1941 and that of 2012 is frightening. A real worry.

    • The Gantt Guy says:

Sheesh! Imagine if he’d used the epithet most rolls used to describe them back then! My grandfather always always always called them Nips!

  12. Ciaron says:

how can you tell if there’s a Japanese air raid coming?

It’s because there’s a bit of a nip in the air!

  13. KG says:

    Grooooaaaaan…….
