Is This The End Of The Republic?

I wrote the post below a couple of days ago, before Sandy made landfall. The danger I feared has now passed, but I was reading an article on American Thinker and decided to cobble the two together.

The money quote from the American Thinker article is:

When reality ensues on November 7 — who knows how he will react? Being a god is great as long as people believe, but once they do not, you become a mere mortal. Will Obama accept that?”

So, to my Halloween nightmare…

Let’s play a little game of “what if”, shall we? I’ve wondered for some time what might happen if the polls were uncomfortable for King Benghazi Barry and some disaster (or something that could be twisted into a disaster) befell the United States. The mainstream polls have been uncomfortably close for some time, and unskewed polls have shown Romney ahead by some wide margin. Now, I wonder if Superstorm Sandy is just the disaster King Barry has been praying to Allah to send, to give him the excuse he needs to declare martial law and suspend elections. That would give him the power to federalise the State National Guards, among other acts.

I imagine if he does that, there would be a few million patriots upset at the decision, so in order to keep the peace, I can see this gangster administration making the short hop to the the suspension of both Posse Comitatus and Habeus Corpus. Given the potential for those same few million to become even more upset, the next logical step in keeping the peace is for the administration to activate the FEMA concentration camps and the indefinite detention provisions of the NDAA. And to invite NATO or UN “Peacekeepers” into the US.

So, my fellow terrorists patriots. Are you locked and loaded, and stocked up on ammunition?

    I don’t know Gnatt,I still say a defeated Obama will will just sit back and veto any budget reconciliation thereby driving us over the fiscal cliff.If we have automatic cuts in entitlements and the military just sit back and watch the fun.The words “Global Financial Disaster” will become common.Obama’s over riding mission is to take out the US as a world power.

    Some concocted event would be needed to kick in the NDAA act.The date we all vote on here was decided by the Congress as Nov 6,there is nothing in the Constitution allowing for a rain delay.Any delay in the vote would have to originate in Congress and that isn’t likely to happen.It looks like both campaigns are slowly easing back into campaign mode since they probably realise the last thing we want is screwed up election.

    On a side note I hope our Katie is doing alright,New York looks to be screwed for the foreseeable future.

      NY was screwed the day Bloomberg took over from Giulliani! It’s just that Sandy made the destruction physical, rather than societal.

      But yes, thoughts are with Katie (and all the other Conservatives fighting the good fight behind enemy lines).
