‘BOEHNER, GOP LEADERS PURGE CONSERVATIVES FROM POWERFUL COMMITTEES
“It is little wonder why Congress has a 16 percent approval rating: Americans send principled representatives to change Washington and get punished in return,” Huelskamp said in a Monday night statement. “The GOP leadership might think they have silenced conservatives, but removing me and others from key committees only confirms our conservative convictions. This is clearly a vindictive move, and a sure sign that the GOP Establishment cannot handle disagreement.”    Breitbart
The time for torches and pitchforks surely cannot be far away….

Clearly something is backed up in Washington. It makes my innerds hurt. Think they need a simple solution:

  2. Redbaiter says:

Looking more and more like many of the Republicans are under-cover operatives for the Democrats.

Of course they are, RB. When somebody’s after power and a life of ease, it’s a case of ‘never mind the label, any available slot will do.’

They have the same aims – a ruling elite and the servile masses. All they have to do is reappear every 4 years and make wild promises about how much OPM they can hand out. :vomit

An interesting letter from influential conservatives to the Republican Representatives and Senators published at RedState.

There are two ways President Obama, Nancy Pelosi, and Harry Reid could get what they want out of the Congress now.

First, just enough Republicans could vote with the Democrats and against most other Republicans to pass what Obama, Pelosi, and Reid want passed.

Second, the Republican leadership could negotiate a “deal” with the Democrats and take most Republican Representatives and Senators with them.

I guess Boner has chosen the second way to help them.

If Republicans provide a consistent, conservative alternative, the time will come, probably sooner than later, when most Americans will become fed up with the left’s failed agenda and be ready for a change to “throw the bums out” and restore limited, Constitutional government.

So it’s in the interest of the country and in your personal interest for you to use the power you unquestionably have now to stand firm and not surrender your conservative principles, no matter how loud the clamor of people whose central interest is to advance the left’s agenda.

    Not much wrong with that.

    • The Gantt Guy says:

“If such deals are made, conservative organizations and conservative and liberty-loving voters would see that the current leadership is not an acceptable alternative to the left. Conservatives would then likely repeat what they did in the 1970s, when they systematically and successfully undertook a multi-year effort to replace Republican congressional leadership.”

Boehner, Cantor et. al. can’t say they haven’t been warned. But watch them cave in anyway.

  4. Darin says:

On the extreme right is no government/anarchy,on the extreme left is Nazism,Fascism,Communism,Socialism.

In the middle is the Constitution and a government limited to it’s proper role of defending the rights of the people.

Pre 1960 the Democrats were just to the left of center and the Republicans just to the right.

After 1965 for the most part both parties moved to the left leaving the Republicans in the center and the Democrats at the far left.

After 1992 the Republican leadership has faded left and as we saw after this last failure of an election they now want to be the Democrats of 1964 by saying we need to be more like them.

With that said and since it’s close to Christmas Time I’ll put up this old favorite-

Darin, Nice tune! We can gather around the Christmas tree with it! @ 1:30 the line uses “bourgeous scum.” May we assume “scum” to some of us? Yeah.

  5. And now Obama wants congress to give up its control of the national debt limit:

    http://dailycaller.com/2012/11/30/obama-demands-1-6-trillion-tax-boost-and-an-unlimited-credit-card/

Can you imagine him with an open credit card?

Isn’t it about time the conservatives abandoned ship and let the country sink? I think America needs to sink in order to come out of it, and let it sink on Obama’s watch. The repubs will get the blame but it’s still Obama’s watch. Boner et.al and Obama et.al. are the same same so the further the conservatives can distance themselves from these pricks the better.

  6. KG says:

Excellent interview of Steyn! There’s no much doubt that republican voters are being sold down the river, is there?
“I will fundamentally transform America” was Obama’s promise..and he’s well on the way to re-making America as socialist Europe 2.0.
And of course, once there, there’s no going back.
