  1. The Gantt Guy says:

“The biggest fight swirled around what is called “loss and damage,” a relatively new concept which relates to damages from climate-related disasters. Island nations and LCD have been pushing for some mechanism to deal with this but the United States has pushed back over concerns they might be held liable for the cleanup bill since they are the world’s second biggest emitter behind China.”

China – the country of which it was once said viz-a-viz “climate change” … “those fuckers are trying to rat-fuck us.” Perhaps the last true words spoken by an Australian Prime Minister!

China – if push comes to shove, will say “all your base are belong to us!” call in their markers and hey, presto we have a new landlord.

Which is why they try and guilt the US – because China ain’t for the guilting.

      And……………………..
“Most of the key disputes revolved around money.”
      Says it all really
What a load of absolute bollocks U.N. climate chief Christiana Figueres spouts.
“We know that science tends to underestimate the impacts of climate, ”
Who the hell has she been listening too?

The sheer scale of the scam beggars belief. I think that may also be the key to it–few people are prepared to believe that something so big, so pervasive could possibly be a scam and they won’t take the trouble to find out for themselves.
If television says so, it must be real.

      • Darin says:

Ha,thanks for posting that, with the events elsewhere that day I had completely forgotten about it :cheers

From having rode out a strong Cat 3 and witnessed the storm surge from Katrina if Manhattan ever does get hit by a Cat 3 especially at high tide the whole city will flood since it’s only 12′ above sea level.

  3. Robervdl says:

The 18th Climate Change Summit in Doha is drawing to an end after once again failing to find common consensus on what it calls a major threat to human existence. Failure seemed inevitable after climate skeptic Lord Monckton crashed the event.

    • Pascal says:

I sure hope his path crosses mine one day. I have a wonderful response I’d like to share with him for the next time he hears (from your link Robert) “She had sneered that 97% of climate scientists thought I was wrong.”

      • KG says:

That’s a great link. Should Monckton ever call in around these parts, the locals would sure love to buy him a beer.

  4. Findalis says:

Last night when I stepped out back to relieve myself, there was some rain and a little wind believe it or not including clouds overhead. Think I’ll call it “Super Storm Darin.”

  9. KG says:

40c here today, and still no rain, Contempt.
Obviously, it’s the Drought of the Century, caused by carbon dioxide!
    FLEE!

    • The Gantt Guy says:

Even more foreboding, KG … there’s been NO RAIN HERE ALL DAY! It’s been sunshine and blue skies, at about 25 degrees. Clearly, the Mayans were right. It’s the end of the world thanks to Global Climate Disruption! :vomit

      • KG says:

We’re doomed, Gantt. May as well buy another bottle of Scotch and watch the show.

      • mawm says:

Don’t worry GG, I’m braaing (BBQ for the unwashed) tonight so there is sure to be some rain. :popcorn

I’m spending the afternoon unpacking and setting up my new BBQ, so I’m sure the sunshine will be turning to liquid form any time now.
