Feral cat

viewWell, he was a feral cat a few months ago. Not a stray, but a full-on spitting, clawing  wild man.

It also proves he is a smart cat. Enough of this living in the wild hunting for food, now I can sleep on a comfortable bed and have my food delivered to me by my own human servant.

  2. KG says:

    Quite so!

  3. Findalis says:

And what is he now? A fat, neutered, lazy bum? He exchanged his life of freedom for the slavery of masterdom.

    • KG says:

He’s not neutered. Nor is he fat or lazy. He’s free to come and go as he pleases, Findalis.
I enjoy his company when he’s around and the feeling seems to be mutual.

      • Findalis says:

OK then now he is not a freeloader on the system. He is preparing you for slavery though.

When you can get him neutered and his shots. He will live longer. He would do it to you.

  4. Viking says:

Ah, so he’s become a beneficiary calling at the food bank then. Con artist ?

  5. Cadwallader says:

“Dogs have masters, cats have slaves!”

I have utmost respect for cats as they live in a truly self-centered world and are brazen about it, whereas politicians live in a truly self-centered world and lie that they do so.

    • KG says:

      Nicely put.

    • Donald (South Australia) says:

Or, “dogs have masters, cats have staff”.

A very Merry Christmas, KG and Mrs KG.

    • GW says:

To say “dogs have masters, cats have staff” I think is a bit off. Living with three labs, I can tell you, they do their utmost best on a daily basis to train me.

      • KG says:

One Lab is an eating machine–three are a logistical problem.
        Happy Christmas, GW.

        • GW says:

Actually, the pack dynamics are fascinating – and invariably funny. I very, very rarely give them human food – except they get a small share each time I cook steak or a roast. So, at any rate, the logistics aren’t too bad, really.

  6. Darin says:

    From the Cat’s diary-
Day 29-The training of my new humans is progressing nicely.I already have them supplying me with food without having to claw and bite them and in a couple more weeks will have them getting me a fancy new flea collar and maybe some sort of toy to amuse myself with when they aren’t around.
If all goes according to plan maybe in another month I will be thoroughly ensconced beneath the AC vent nearest the TV.

  7. Darin says:

Now your just showing off

  8. KG says:

I’m not! I’m completely out of my depth and playing with another set of smileys, which you can see below the comments box.

  9. Lucia Maria says:

    What a gorgeous cat!

    • KG says:

Isn’t he, Lucia Maria. And a real character too. With the wet season starting, he’ll keep down the young snakes which take up residence under the house, as well as eating us out of the Mainland Vintage cheese which we get from Townsville.

In case I forget, may you and yours have a very Happy Christmas and a fine 2013. All the best from me and Gecko.

Practical here, in the wet, Mawm.http://falfn.com/CrusaderRabbit/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_smile.gif It’s more gumboot than Gucci around these parts. And bare feet are a no-no.

      • mawm says:

Ahhh, but if you put the temptation of a really good emoticon at our disposal, we’ll find a way to use it. http://falfn.com/CrusaderRabbit/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_cool.gif

    • KG says:

And the same to you and yours, Mawm. I hope the weather holds up for you.

      • mawm says:

The forecast charts keep threatening wind and rain………and all we are getting is lovely subtropical weather. We even managed to sit out in the garden until almost midnight in shorts and Tee’s.

  12. Pompuss says:

Knew you couldn’t live without one of us.

Congrats on your return to slavedom and a Very Merry Christmas to you, Gecko and your new Master.

Back to a sunny morning and the endless rabbit hunt.
