Australia’s socialist government:

Remember, this is a government that just 4 years ago, had no debt. No debt. The repayments on the debt the Gillard government has run up come to one and a quarter billion dollars per month. Every month. For twenty years.

The six leading members of the government, from Gillard down, have a collective work experience of 181 years, but only 13 in the private sector.

If you take out of those 13 years the number that were spent as trade union lawyers, only two years were spent in the private sector.
So out of those 181 years:
No years spent running their own business
no years spent starting their own business
no years spent as a director of a family business or company
no years as a director of a public company
no years in a senior position in a private company
no years working in corporate finance
no years in corporate or business restructuring
no years working in or with a bank no years of experience in captal markets no years in a stockbroking firm
no years in negotiating debt facilities with banks
no years running a small business no years at the World Bank or the IMF or OECD
no years in Treasury or Finance.
But these people have plunged Australia into unprecedented debt. Ah, but they are Labor and Labor is good for the working family, right? Right?

And yet, there’s a reasonable chance this gang of thugs and union stooges will be re-elected this year.

    For shame, Australia. For shame.

    • RWT says:

Exactly, and it’s because most of the voters have never run a business themselves. Some probably think that businesses are meant to provide jobs, it wouldn’t surprise me in the least if most actually thought this debt that’s being accumulated will be paid by someone else.

After all, our taxes haven’t gone up, by the time it does, this mob of communist scum will be long gone and we’ll all be bitching and moaning at the Conservatives who, as usual, have to clean up the mess left by the leftist scum.

Once they’ve done the hard work, we’ll promptly throw them out and vote in some leftist piece of shit promising a revolution of some sort.

  2. KG says:

    I don’t know about shame–I’m embarrassed.

  3. The Gantt Guy says:

    Example: http://www.thepunch.com.au/articles/abbotts-women-problem-is-with-what-they-think-of-him/

    The headline:
“Abbott’s women problem is with what they think of him”

    WTF?

    • KG says:

      Ah yes–the left’s abbottabbottabbott strategy.
When you don’t have a policy or a record to run on, smear the opposition.
Abbott’s not a thief or a fraudster or a liar, so Juliar’s mob of syphilitic jackals are reduced to inventions. Known out here in the real world as “lies”.

  4. Redbaiter says:

Yep, idiot socialist voters electing idiot socialist governments who always plunge every country they govern deep into debt.

I’m past expecting them to learn.

They’re all just totally fucked in the head.

  5. Darin says:

All these f–king Socialists are the same, none of Obama’s cabinet have any private sector experience either, but they insist they know how to fix the economy

  6. The Gantt Guy says:

Oh, and last time I dipped my toe in the Whaleoil cess-pool, some retard tried to tell me John Key is an experienced business manager. I, of course, pointed out that trading in the currency markets is *not* running a business. The retard then tried to tell me running the New York Fed Reserve for 18 months is running a “business”!

I wonder how many politicians, from any party, have ever spent any time at all in the real, productive economy?

  7. Elijah says:

I am going to have to steal this.

  8. KG says:

Steal away, Elijah. Elaine will be delighted.

You have to put it all in perspective….

“The Congressional Budget Office estimates that the latest triumphant deal includes $2 billion of cuts for fiscal year 2013. Wow! That’s what the Government of the United States borrows every 10 hours and 38 minutes. Spending two months negotiating 10 hours of savings is like driving to a supermarket three states away to save a nickel on your grocery bill.”. http://falfn.com/CrusaderRabbit/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_yahoo.gif

  11. Benares says:

Reading this I had to laugh at those stupid Australians. Electing a socialist Government, what did they expect, ultimately you have to pay back the debt.

Also reading about the stupid Americans complaining about the new tax increases I had to laugh. Electing a socialist Government, what did they expect, ultimately you have to pay back the debt.

And then I thought about NZ, we elected a National party Government not a socialist Government didn’t we? And then I thought about public debt going from a +$200 million surplus in FY07/08 to a currently projected total debt of $58 billion for FY14/15 under the prudent financial management of Billy English. And I realise that will mean a monthly repayment of approx NZ$400 million for twenty years (compared to NZ$1,580 million/month for Australia, or 4x as much, except the Oz economy is 10.2x bigger than NZ’s). And that assumes we can roll over the lowest interest rates in 80 years forever.

    And then I stopped laughing.

  12. KG says:

    Great comment, Benares.

  13. Robertvdl says:

Beware of all those who talk ‘GREEN’, ‘left’ or ‘right’.

    I stopped laughing years ago.
