It came out yesterday that essentially it has been Karl Rove who has been firing the first shots that will lead to the disintegration of the GOP. I guess, in a way, we ought to thank him given the recent but delayed news1 that the GOP has been tolerating Democratic voter fraud for over 30 years.

Mark Levin’s podcast of Monday is definitely worth a listen. I’ve excerpted a good portion of his rant against Rove and the other SKUNCs2. Do yourself the favor a find some time to listen to it 3 because there is stuff there I didn’t catch that a commenter alerted me to4. Levin definitely was ON FIRE.

    4. “Did you hear Levin destroy the bogus ‘statistic’ spouted by the ex-astronaut Mark Kelly about gun background checks preventing 1.7 million criminals and mental patients from getting guns.

Mark Kelly is a shill for gun control. Turns out the ‘1.7 Million’ number contained 95 % false postives that resulted in merely delays (over the average of 2 hours for ‘Instant check’ or a couple days), or similar names on their list. Only a very few of the rejected applications were prosecuted (something in the vicinity of 30).
No criminals will subject themselves to a background checks – rather just buy in the black market. 1.7 Mil is grossly bogus. ” He’s clearly part of a Big Lie campaign.

What prompts me to that observation? This Breitbart headline. Surrender: Ohio Gov. Kasich Spurns Tea Party, Backs Obamacare Medicaid Expansion; Left Celebrates . The former Congressman and former Fox commentator and current governor could not help himself. It’s in his nature to betray those who believed him.

Here’s another one for the list –

Since 1982, that Consent Decree has been renewed every year by the original judge, Carter appointee District Judge Dickinson R. Debevoise, now 88 years old. Long retired, Debevoise comes back yearly for the sole purpose of renewing his 1982 order for another year.

        – from Pascal’s Link 1 noted above on voter fraud. The GOP just has to be the stupid party to allow the Dems to get away with this election after election. Time for a new coservative party.

      • Ronbo says:

The patriot conversation concerning the proscription list of traitors in the Second U.S. Civil War will go something like this ancient one did:

        ANTONY

These many, then, shall die. Their names are pricked.

        ANTONY

These ones, then, will be assassinated. Their names are marked.

        OCTAVIUS
        (to LEPIDUS)

Your brother too must die. Consent you, Lepidus?

        OCTAVIUS
(to LEPIDUS) Your brother has to die too. Do you agree, Lepidus?

        LEPIDUS

        I do consent—

        LEPIDUS

        I agree—

        OCTAVIUS

        Prick him down, Antony.

        OCTAVIUS

Put a mark next to his name too, Antony.

        LEPIDUS
Upon condition Publius shall not live,
Who is your sister’s son, Mark Antony.

        LEPIDUS
On the condition that your sister’s son, Publius, also must die, Mark Antony.

I believe the GOP is the complicit party, not the stupid party, Mawm.

    • Ronbo says:

      @KG:

The Washington D.C. Republican Party is the author of Big Central Federal Government in 1865.

Prior to the First U.S. Civil War it was “The United States ARE…” (plural)

To “The United States IS…” (single)

“The Glorious Cause” of the CSA was the plural, which was the intention of American revolutionary leaders like George Washington who said,

“Government is like fire, a fearful servant and a dangerous master.”

Methinks we need a New Confederacy.

      Maybe this time we win….

  7. Redbaiter says:

Pascal- Levin annoys hell out of me the way he sneers at those who state that Obama is an illegitimate president. Cuts them off and giggles about them.

Levin, who claims to be a Constitutional lawyer, and attacks Obama on so many of his other unlawful acts, will not show some guts and go for this when it would clearly dovetail into so many of the other issues he does address.

    • KG says:

But why, RB? Why is the subject too toxic even for Levin?
I find it hard to believe that he’s cowed by the “birther” smear.

      • Redbaiter says:

I find it hard to believe too. I could handle him not wanting to take calls, but slagging them off? That’s too much. I feel like ringing him myself and asking him why he thinks he’s any different to the sellout Bill O’Reilly.

Quite a few ex-marines and the like call in and say Obama should be prosecuted or impeached or otherwise charged and he always cuts them off.

        Pisses me the hell off.

He’s so right on most things, but seems dead scared of this issue. Pascal knows what I am talking about.

    • Pascal says:

RB, on my blog I keep a list of excerpts in the sidebar. Please forgive me. One of them is from the post: “Politically Cowardiced.”

Talk radio is not inventing conservative thoughts. It is the echo chamber of your thoughts. And in many ways, it is the place where your thoughts are discredited, by everything from Dr. Savage’s hostile rages and huge ego to Rush often behaving like he’s joined at the hip to establishment Republicans. [emphasis added]

I also think you may recall that I criticized Levin (warned him before and faulted him after the scheduled interview) for his softball questioning of Gingrich on CAGW and for that bastards part in the Freon bans that began in 1992.

It is hard to say exactly why he takes such a position. What I do know is what meshes with what I know from other sources. I congratulate the talkers when they are on the money, but I constantly warn that because they make so much money at what they do, and are permitted to continue, that we must always remember the biblical warning that an Godly man cannot serve two masters. A wealthy man has the likelihood of gaining entrance to heaven as a camel could pass through the eye of a needle. Etcetera.

In this particular broadcast, Levin is spot on about the problems we face from the SKUNCs. And I’m hardly that convinced Levin is not one of them. But the info is spot on with what else I already am aware of — like that court case that has been kept under wraps for over 30 years. I’m dying to get through to Levin and ask him how the RNC happened to sign onto that consent decree DURING the Reagan years.

    • mawm says:

      That too, KG.

    • mawm says:

RB – AGW, Obama’s legitimacy and voter fraud by the left are the three elephants in the room and not even the right wing media want to tackle, probably because the Left long ago won the competition to smear the “opposition”. At present only the NRA has stood up to them.

Apologies KG, the post addressed to you was about RHINO complicity.

    • Pascal says:

I don’t know if it means anything at all, but I thought I ought to mention it.

Donald Trump is probably the most high profile of the “birthers.” And you and I know how Levin and other talkers dismiss that issue and its proponents most of all.

Well, on Tuesday’s broadcast, at a little over 13 minutes into the podcast, Levin says this:

I’m liking Donald Trump. You know I used to be pretty critical…. I’ll tell you what I like about him. He doesn’t take any crap. He has gone on about this Karl Rove and he is exactly right. He goes into this “Why do you keep calling yourselves stupid Republicans? If you’re gonna say something, say something intelligent.” And I agree with that. Why do you say stupid stuff and then say “we got to stop being stupid”? And in dealing with Obama, he’s right about that. They collapse. I can’t find any disagreement in any of this.

And face it, Trump also loves playing the big buffoon and getting adored because — let me guess — because he’s rich? (Ya think he could afford a haircut or toupée that didn’t look so much like Woody Woodpecker? But I digress.)

So today, as on many days, Levin is almost believable. Why is he allowed to continue if he’s legitimate? At some level it is quite possible that those who believe they can control everything are quite content that we are informed. Knowing that you and I are pained or suffer or angered with the news they leak out could very well provide them additional enjoyment on their power trip. “What do you think you can do about it buster? Ha Ha.” I think I’ve come to understand why serving just desserts are best left to Him.

  9. Redbaiter says:

Anyone know how to repair the finish on a boat when the varnish has lifted and the wood has discoloured? Do you have to gouge out the discoloured wood? Only way I can see.

  10. KG says:

The link is right, as far as it goes. But there are couple of qualifiers needed.
Why has the varnish lifted? (is there an ingress of water from close by). What sort of wood? Is it natural or stained? Is it close to another area of varnished wood which has been stained, and will therefore need to be colour-matched after the oxalic acid treatment?
In any case, it shouldn’t be re-varnished unless the humidity is below 30% and has been that way for a few days, whatever the claims on the can.
And don’t sand if you can avoid it–a sharp scraper is far better.

  11. KG says:

There are a few acid-wash treatments used on timber house decking and they work just fine. Wood is just wood, after all.
