six pigs and there’s lots more out there. We must have seen at least twenty.

    So, what are you going to do with the pork? Smoke it? Make sausages? Cure it in some other fashion? (I’m genuinely interested…)

    They’re not edible this time of year and during a drought, Odayu-sen. It’s basically pest control. (an estimated six million feral pigs in North Queensland).

    The biggest around here only go to about 100kg, Pascal. They make up for that with numbers.
    Anything from about .222 up is fine and the .30-30 is probably more gun than is needed, really.
    But I like the noise. :twisted:

      The driver (there were 2 drivers) admitted immediately after the crash that he took the bend at 190 miles per hour when the speed limit is 80 miles per hour.The driver in charge of the train had more than a year of experience on this line and 30 years in the company.It is a sharp turn after a very long straight right after you come out of a tunnel.

        Maybe the driver was behind schedule and needed to make up for lost time. Japanese train drivers seem to be under great pressure to “be on time”; I don’t know about the Spanish mindset, though.

          Hmm…from my experience, “pressure to be on time” isn’t a Spanish characteristic, Odayu-sen.
          But that was a long time ago…perhaps things are different now.

      Elliot Spitzer is also running for some office there,he’s the former governor who resigned after being caught hiring the services of a call girl.
