The two lefty wimmin dissent..

Supreme Court upholds Michigan affirmative action ban

“This case is not about how the debate about racial preferences should be resolved. It is about who may resolve it,” Kennedy said.
…In dissent, Justice Sonia Sotomayor said the decision tramples on the rights of minorities, even though the amendment was adopted democratically. “But without checks, democratically approved legislation can oppress minority groups,” said Sotomayor, who read her dissent aloud in the courtroom Tuesday. Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg sided with Sotomayor in dissent. ..’
Hmm…so this arrogant, semi-qualified Obamapuppet affirmative-action beneficiary thinks that SCOTUS should be able to overturn the will of the voters of Michigan, based on nothing more than her personal feelings–the “checks” she refers to. I look forward to seeing the dissenting opinion shredded by qualified grown-ups.

Yes indeed..augurs well for the future, don’t it?

  3. GW says:

Let’s see the logic here. The Equal Protection Clause of the Constitution holds that no state shall “deny to any person . . . the equal protection of the laws.” According to the wise Latina / empathetic / race baiting Sotomayor, Michigan violates that clause if they pass a law that says all people must be treated equally. WTF. This is why I have no respect for judges. Note that if Sotomayor’s opinion was adopted, it would permanently ensconce unequal protection of the laws in our Constitution. Moreover, she equates the people voting for “equal protection of the laws” with the vile Democrat racists who wrote the Jim Crow laws.

This shit really is making me homicidal . . . .

      Yeah, Me too, GW.
I read the whole of her dissenting judgement and it’s nothing but a whining diatribe. This woman is a disgrace even to SCOTUS, and that’s saying something.
She’s little more than an arrogant welfare beneficiary.
