    I second Ronbo. With the coward in the Oval Office who freezes when there are decisions to be made, the hope that Western Europe or some other benefactor coming to their aid is nil. Like it or not, Pax Americana was a good thing. If we don’t step up to fight the abuses of tyranny and defend the helpless, who will? This is why the left will never have the moral high ground.

        I have seen the bodies from Rwanda. They were slaughtered like livestock. Worse, they knew beforehand that it was going to happen because they were warned beforehand like Hitler warned the Jews. Many wrote their final farewells to friends overseas and the West merely stood by and watched. When the Allies rolled into the German extermination camps and saw the horrors inflicted upon the Jews, they intoned never again. But the men who made that solemn vow are in their 80’s and 90’s now. Today, nobody honors that promise because nobody has the moral courage to do so.

        Darkness is sweeping the world and good people sit and do nothing. This has happened before in the West and we are watching it happen again. One would think that we would have learned, but the left merely dithers and attempts to run out the clock making action moot. But that is the left. Full of sound and fury, but ultimately empty of morality and honor.

    I have seen a couple of news stories about this on both US and NZ outlets. None had a hint that the UN or any country was on the way to help nor was there a protest anywhere against the savages perpetrating the atrocity.

    Like others here I am ashamed of the governments I thought were the guardians of justice.

When the Left attempt to bring them to heel, it will require a damn sight more brute force than has ever been used before because the Islamics think that they are on their victory roll and they ain’t going to cede that willingly.         About a decade ago I read my way through the End Times passages in the Bible, and upset a few (especially those with Jewish connections who had suffered during the ’30s and ’40s). Because it is clear to me that what is to come will make the ’30s and ’40s look like a children’s tea party. What really shook me up was realising the literal implications of Matthew 24:22 for example (And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved). That’s some pretty serious bloodbath in prospect.

    I suggest the answer is: Nothing.

    For why?

    Because to do so would require the military reoccupation of that benighted shithole.

    P.S. There’s double-act in play. Iraq today, Afghanistan next year. With Jordan (a truly weak ME state) somewhere in between.

    The West is morally and financially bankrupt. Islam runs on the smell of an oil-rag, its tide is thus running hot and strong. Unstoppably?

      There are two things that can be done, and only two things. And the Left has conditioned most [with PC, cultural marxism, NLP etc] to believe that neither is possible/humane/”christian”. [Christian in quotes and without a capital letter to indicate that the Left’s view of Christianity does not accord with Christ’s.]

      The most humane thing the West could do is to bite the bullet, and go by force into every Muslim country and occupy it and run it as a colony as would have been done in the 1800s, complete with Missionaries, and attempts to civilise the indigenous peoples, and thereby drag them kicking and screaming into the 21st century.

      The only other alternative is to deport every Muslim back to a Muslim country, build a wall round the whole of the Muslim world, and defend it firmly to prevent escapees. And leave them to get on with life in their own paradise. We’d have a transportation problem for a while, but we could work out how to cope with that, that is what the West used to be good at.

      Nothing else will work because Islam is a parasitic religion that survives and propagates on bullying thuggery and thievery. Their Allah has promised them that everything is theirs, all they have to do is go and take it.

      Of course, once we have decided which approach works with the Muslims, then we will have to do the same with the Leftists, because their religion (Marxism-Leninism + cult of current leader) is worse.

      Yup, it’ll gonna be a BIG job.

        The problem with this solution is that there are many non-Muslims in almost all ‘Muslim’ countries. Take the Yesidis and Christians in Iraq. They have been there for longer than the Muslims. Where do you put them if they can’t live in their homeland?
