Ol’ Remus on Ebola:

‘…The bottom line. A realistic mortality estimate has to include secondary effects, which includes a drastic reduction in ordinary medical services, disrupted transportation of food and other necessities, much diminished commercial activity and the like. If we discount “perfect storm” scenarios and stay with the likely, a mortality of 25% in the US is a reasonable estimate, secondary effects included, assuming a burnout time of three years. In 2017 denying visas to West African nationals, defending our borders and controlling immigration will be seen as the missed opportunity of a lot of lifetimes. Alas, that opportunity is foreclosed even now. The mother of all buyer’s regret is setting in. The dark side of globalism is about to have its way with us….’

Ole Uncle Remus is as much Cassandra as I am – the body count from Ebola could be one-third to one-half the current population before the disease burns itself out in about 2-3 years.

If that happens, the political world along with everything else will be treated to the biggest reset in modern times – the game changer of all game changer :!: The return of the Dark Ages?

    Indeed, “The Zombie Apocalypse”

  2. Pascal says:

However many may die from this plague, the goal of the rabid extremists is to reduce 6.5 billion down to 500 million. I know most here have heard that before. But did you believe they’d get this far? I don’t think so. NORMAL humans, no matter their pettiness on some issues, are live and let live people. Don’t you think it’s long past time to clean house?

  3. Flashman says:

I liked OR’s receipt and filing of the golfer-in-chief as a liar in the same way that some people are short, left-handed and are cursed with a stutter.

Agreed – Ebola is Green Flu – the Zompoc writ large. Romero was right: ‘When hell is full, the dead shall walk the Earth.’

  4. KG says:

In 2006, on the first CR blog I said that third-world immigration would be the death of the West by imported diseases – and was reviled as a racist for saying so by an assortment of leftard trolls.
Can I say “told you so” yet? If not now, it may be soon.
Now, let’s hear from the open borders advocates, shall we?

  5. Brown says:

If it was going to go nuts throughout the US and elsewhere I suspect it would already be doing so in Africa. It does not yet appear to be running rampant even where it originated so may not be the contagious monster the flu was in 1918 (my grandfather survived the war in the trenches only to die of the flu in Germany in Feb 1919). The interesting possibility exists that the deaths will not be widespread across all levels of society. People in poor living conditions with less concept of hygiene may get hit much harder than the cleaner, better educated, middle class and above.

There’s a book in this but Stephen King already wrote it.

Speaking of the military dying of disease – Obola has sent 3,000 American troops to Liberia to do “battle” against “The Red Death” who may bring the virus back to the Homeland.

  6. Mathew says:

If there really is going to be an outbreak killing millions, lefties are going to really regret giving up their guns and forcing others to as well.

Speaking of lefties and forcing people, did anyone else see the story of the intruder who jumped the white house fence and barreled through the female secret service agent. Apparently some in the media deleted the word ‘female’ from the story, because….. i guess they didn’t want anyone to catch onto the obvious. Lying for their cause comes so naturally.

  7. tranquil says:

Am I wrong in saying that (eventually) there *could* be a positive outcome of this?

If the ebola outbreak caused chaos and led to thousands of lefties dying and then thousands of patriots rising up and taking control of the country (and doing great stuff like *axing welfare*) then that *could* be a positive outcome.

The only b*****d of a thing about it is that hundreds of patriots could die too from ebola.

    • KG says:

Agreed, Tranquil. But few good outcomes are cost-free and if it decimates the left, a few hundred may be an acceptable price to pay.
God knows, if the left are ever allowed to reach their endgame, more than a few hundred patriots will die in any case.

  8. Flashman says:

It’s huge relief to know that NZ’s leading hospital has *one* isolation unit and a stock of 10 hazmat suits teed-up to defeat any Ebola pandemic.

Bring your own No 8 wire….

    • Flashman says:

      …for ‘unit’ read ‘bed’.

      As you were, carry on.

      • The Gantt Guy says:

Isn’t it weird how every problem in life has the same solution: bottled water, tinned food, plenty of ammo and bar the gates.

    • mawm says:

Yeah, but they are expensive to build and run. They need a negative pressure environment and special air filtration, etc. I guess you don’t get much bang for your buck with them and money can be far more effectively used elsewhere such as for cath labs or operating rooms. Tough if you get SARS or Ebola.

“I cannot comprehend the madness of the times…. Treason is in the air around us everywhere. It goes by the name of patriotism.” —Thomas Corwin to Abraham Lincoln, 1861 …

I’m reading a new book by Michael Savage titled, “Civil War” on Kindle.

I had to buy it after reading that quotation by Thomas Corwin and plus the fact that since 2005, I have predicted that at some time in my lifetime the Right and Left would go postal at one another in the Second U.S. Civil War.

Once again, Great Minds Think Alike – although Savage says it much better than I could ever have said it.http://falfn.com/CrusaderRabbit/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_good.gif

  10. mawm says:

Oh dear! CDC being forced into admitting aerosol spread of Ebola.

    http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2014-10-07/cdc-forced-admit-ebola-might-be-spread-through-coughing-and-sneezing

And now asymptomatic people “may” be able to spread the disease.

    http://www.washingtonsblog.com/2014/10/new-york-times-may-carry-ebola-without-showing-symptoms.html

The Spanish nursing assistant with Ebola was exposed to an infected patient twice – and on both occasions wore a hazmat suit. And now British military medics are going to set up a hospital in Sierra Leone to look after infected healthcare workers.

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-2783576/100-strong-army-British-military-medics-set-Ebola-hospital-Sierra-Leone-treat-doctors-health-workers-struck-deadly-virus.html

As I said once the virus is in a persons blood it is also in their saliva – 100% correlation.

This is all not going to end well. I’d keep off planes, and away from airports and foreigners for a while. http://falfn.com/CrusaderRabbit/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_mail.gif

It looks worse by the day, Mawm. And the official pronouncements from politicians are anything but reassuring. Most of them seem to be either simply guessing or lying.
