My favorite Churchill story was when he visited the United States in 1941 just after we had declared war against the Axis and was staying at the White House.

One morning Mrs. Roosevelt decided to have a word with the great man and walked into his apartment unannounced just after Churchill had finished his bath and walking around naked, he said to her, “As you can see madam, the king’s prime minister has nothing to hide.”
