I don’t care if it’s “the law” – it’s excessive and it’s tyrannical, especially since nobody was harmed. Bloody hell, people in this country get lesser penalties for assault and robbery!  And the cowardly clipboard-wielding petty Nazis aren’t so keen to persecute Maoris in the Far North of NZ, who routinely flout “safety” laws.
Something is seriously out of whack here..

    That’s okay. They’ve got assets and they won’t try to beat up the inspectors, so that makes them a soft target.

    The proper way to handle situations like this is to Rooster tail mud and cow shit all over the inspectors while wearing your helmet :twisted:

    Little Hitlers actually get paid to tramp around potting innocents. I recall the cocky who drained a pond on his own/mortgage-free land without first telling his local authority. The only witness was a neighbour who assisted him to do it. The pond wasn’t visible from any road or right-of-way. The local authority pounced as they picked up “no pond” on google earth. He was fined and fined again. He was told to reinstate a wetland at his own cost. Apparently they must employ a brain-dead to gawk at google earth day in and day out looking for such things.
    He sold the farm and moved to the UK where he subsequently got prosecuted for killing rats in an inn he was restoring. It seems that you need a permit to kill rats in the Cotswolds. I suppose you need a permit to kill local authority Hitlers too?
