Grrr…the witch-hunt gravy train rolls on.

Thirteen former SAS soldiers are facing possible criminal charges over an alleged ‘shoot-to-kill’ policy against the IRA 30 years ago, The Mail on Sunday can reveal.
Senior police officers are investigating claims that the elite troops executed terror suspects in cold blood in a series of carefully planned covert operations. A dossier of incidents will be presented at a legal hearing next month.
The bid to put the SAS troops in the dock over events of the 1980s and 1990s will be controversial as it follows assurances given to 200 suspected terrorists that they are immune from prosecution for their actions at the time.
..Republican lawyers claim a senior British Army officer, codenamed Soldier H, led the operation and at least six other missions, leading to the deaths of 16 paramilitaries
…Criminal charges, funded by legal aid, could follow, depending on the outcome of the inquest. A coroner has identified 13 SAS troops as part of his inquiry, and at a preliminary hearing last year was told that three had refused to give statements.
…Last night, a former SAS member said the soldiers ‘fear they’ll become a target for every young dissident. And how come terrorists get letters saying they won’t be arrested while our troops get put through this?’
A Special Branch source added: ‘A whole industry has developed around legal aid, which does nothing except attack the record of the security forces. This is a massive lie.’  (bold mine)
Meanwhile, known Provo killers were given new identities and resettled in Australia and America by the Blair government.

I’ve really only one question: why would anyone sign up to serve, knowing there’s a good chance they’ll be betrayed, sooner or later, by the people they’ve given blood, sweat and tears to protect?

Just what I intended to ask.

I don’t want to diminish their accomplishments, but when a wolf dons a collar and gives his leash to a politician then they can expect to be treated like a dog, up to and including being put down as soon as their existence becomes a burden.

It is time for them to turn their guns on to the real enemy.

….and, of course, if this trial balloon works in Britain then rest of West will have the same Leftist witch hunt conducted against their special forces troops.

The greatest enemy of the West is the Leftist traitor within the gates who must be neutralized before we can conduct nation saving measures outside our countries.

Not just the visible left, Ronbo. Cameron is supposedly a conservative PM and he’s done nothing – nothing – to fix this.
The problem is the political class, period.

    “Squirrel!”

Just in time to change the subject from local neighborhood jihadists.

Sorry, just jumped in to mention Daily Mail double page spread about Buck House lowering flag to half mast for some Saudi or whatever. Good. Right and proper thing to do. They would do similar, wouldn’t they? The world’s elite tip their hats to one and other, as we lowly people do. We must respect them what are those them around us. The Royals are showing us how to do it. Everyone kneels to someone.

I’ll go back and read the article.

    Later, bit beered up. Night.

    A quote I haven’t read in awhile-

“Patriotism is supporting your country all of the time, and your government when it deserves it”- Mark Twain

Yes, andy5759, the 21st century version of the 17th century Divine Right Monarchy has returned in the West with the King’s men in control of all the major institutions including the political parties, the churches, media, academia, culture, etc.

    Voting for change is useless.

    Petitions mean nothing.

    Demonstrations? Don’t waste your time.

…and I’m afraid we “little people” can do nothing until “our betters” driving the bus hit a major road bump – like another Great Depression, world war, or some other game changing event – to crash and burn.

Speaking of fatal bus accidents, last night I had a very intense dream about being on an out-of-control bus heading down a steep road towards a cliff, and not being able to get out of my seat to pull the psycho driver out of his seat.

    Today I understand that nightmare…

…and, yes, the dream bus went over the cliff into the rocks and sea below.
