    He was elected.

    Twice.

We should all let that sink in when determining how the future will play out for those who would resist tyranny in the US.

    • Ronbo says:

When you have Republican presidential candidates running as socialist light against a Democrat socialist heavy, as was the case in 2008 and 2012, the patriot base voter of the Republican Party will stay home in protest, and the commie loving welfare class of parasites will come out in droves and vote for their boy and a bigger check.

Please feel free to check out the potential voters and actual Republican voters in 2008 and 2012….Obama was elected TWICE without a majority of votes.

The same thing will happen in 2016, if Jeb Bush gets the GOP presidential nomination…The days are over when American patriots voted for the lesser of the two evils.

Yes, I’m not forgetting the election of 2014 when a tidal wave of GOP voters took control of Congress – and added more to their majorities in various state – as clearly the voters went after Obama – they wanted a majority in Congress to stop Obama.

In 2016, the Obama will not be on the ticket, and as I said earlier if the Republican candidate is Jeb Bush or another Bush-like RINO, the patriot base WILL NOT VOTE FOR HIM. PERIOD. AND HE WILL NOT WIN :!:

      • Wombat says:

The Republicans lost their chance when they stonewalled Ron Paul and thugged him out of the runnings.

The Republicans are very much like our Liberals here in Australia. Just as rotten, but it’s a conservative kind of rot rather than a progressive one.

  3. GW says:

One cannot be a leftie and love Western civiization, a civilization based on the Judeo-Christian ethic and capitalism in its varied forms. Period. They see it as either intrinsicaly evil as a whole or at least at its foundational level, because it is all based on oppression and exploitation for its success. What the left has is a “social justice” vision (Marx 2.0) for ______ (insert name of Western country here) that they love, and of course they love being in a society where they can gain the power to move it in that direction. Indeed, it’s their raison d’etre.

When a non-leftist says that they love their country, they are basing that on it’s imperfect history, looking back realisticly and saying that the good has far outweighed the bad, and there is intense pride in being a part of it, warts and all. Questionable incidents are teaching points, not unforgivable sins that forever stain and corrupt.

The left likes to sneer at “love of country” comments and, indeed, uses them to marginalize people who make them as tea party nutters. And it does impact on those low information types in the middle, unfortunately. Unfortunately, few on the right pose their love of country comments in full historical context, and no one on the left is ever asked a love of country question posed in the proper context, such as “Looking back on all of our history, all that has happened, do you love this country?”

Actually that last bit would really trip up most leftists, since they don’t know their county’s history beyond the grossly superficial — just enough to chant slogans. Obama is the poster child of this group.

    • KG says:

And that, GW, sums it up just about perfectly.

    • Wombat says:

I don’t find that anything much impacts on the low information types in the middle.

But the progressives run the school systems so the middleground marches in their direction bit by bit, year by year.

  4. Ronbo says:

It’s real easy to understand why the Left hates America or ____(fill in the blank for any country in the world) – In comparison with their vision of UTOPIA – any nation on earth falls short.

I know you’re going to say, “Well, what about the Soviet Union? Red China? North Korea? They were/are Communist countries and they look more like Hell than Paradise.”

Indeed, because they were/are SOCIALIST countries :!: Socialism is the necessary stage before COMMUNISM, which is UTOPIA, PARADISE, HEAVEN ON EARTH.

Unfortunately, because of bad management, crop failures, traitors, the British Empire, the United States, etc, etc. NO SOCIALIST COUNTRY HAS MANAGED TO ADVANCE TO COMMUNISM.

However, there is a new team of socialists in charge of America who believe, “We are the ones we have been waiting for.” and are determined to advance from capitalism to socialism to COMMUNISM :!: UTOPIA :!: PARADISE :!: O BRAVE NEW WORLD :!:

…even if it kills all 350 million Americans.http://falfn.com/CrusaderRabbit/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_wacko.gif

    • Wombat says:

      I don’t buy it.

I believe that high level communists have gone beyond acting out of some kind of benevolence and eventually come to the opinion that people are obnoxious cattle that need to be herded appropriately and sacrificed where necessary to serve the cause.

That is to say, the people are there to serve the cause and not vice versa.

Listen to a few select individuals during question time in parliament and the tone of their voice when speaking about “the people” makes it abundantly clear. They speak of us as a separate entity to themselves.

To them, there are (as Bracken put it in one of his novels) the Intelligentisia (leaders), their direct subordinates (state employees) and the expendable (us).

Does anyone think Stalin or Mao cared for their nation, their country or their countrymen? Nope. They were more like invading aliens than human beings.

    • Wombat says:

It was an interesting read, and another great reason to, as Ol’ Remus used to say, avoid crowds.

      • KG says:

I read that about six months ago, and it’s looking more likely by the day.

        • Ronbo says:

The Bracken articles were excellent and at this point America could go in either directions, although my money is on an economic downfall that causes the country to erupt in anarchy and civil war.

Civilization may be a mile wide, but only one inch deep, and once the dogs of war are lose who knows what direction they will run in, and who they will destroy.

In any event what has not yet happened in America’s slide into totalitarianism is a body count. Yes, there have been mysterious individual deaths like Breitbart’s untimely end, but there have not yet been mass arrests and deaths.

When this happens (notice I don’t say “if”) the Genie of Civil War is out of the bottle and ….
