On the road to mediocrity:

Australia, today:
‘THE Australian Defence Force has been told it must quickly take on a more culturally diverse range of recruits.
Defence had to use the national depth of cultural and linguistic diversity to improve its war fighting capability. …An example was Female Engagement Teams in Afghanistan who built relationships with local women to allow them to improve their lives in a culturally appropriate manner…’
“Building relationships with local women” is NOT warfighting.
‘A TAMIL refugee who escaped to Australia while on bail for allegedly murdering his pregnant lover cannot be refused a visa despite repeatedly lying to the Immigration Department about his past, a tribunal has found…’
This tribunal is clearly racist, discriminatory and irresponsible.

‘WESTPAC’S new chief executive, Brian Hartzer, is expected to reaffirm the bank’s commitment to have 50 per cent women in senior management by 2017 in his first function for International Women’s Day on Friday…’
Why? And what can this possibly do other than lower standards?

      Naw. Western nations only.

The others aren’t fat and stupid enough to be able to indulge in this kind of thing.

    “International Women’s Day”

Spare me. Every day is a woman’s day in my house-hold, or at least it feels that way.

Don’t you just want to punch the retarded communists who write these banalities?

Along the same lines I was reading this article this morning-

    http://warontherocks.com/2014/11/heres-why-women-in-combat-units-is-a-bad-idea/

Long read, but worth it,including the comments. As one commenter pointed out consider the story of Marine Bradley Kasal, what about him and his unit would be improved by the addition of women to the mix?

Ana Simons has it exactly right – even if she does downplay past problems somewhat.

We gotta stop reading this shit KG. All it does is put up our collective blood pressure and make us say things not fit for gentle company!

    • KG says:

Sometimes, Michael I think that’s right. But then I think “well, somebody needs to get angry about it”.

You said something about some people needing a bullet behind the ear. I nominate the VA administrators

Yup,my father relies on them and lately they have been letting him down at every turn.
He’s been out of test strips for his glucose monitor for three weeks.I would buy some, but it’s an oddball lowest bidder monitor and none of the over the counter test strips will work.
He’s had a persistent cough since November, his doctor’s appointment for that was scheduled for this week,it’s now been moved back until April 8th

Those are just the minor issues, the list goes on.

      • KG says:

And it’s so difficult to actually get to speak to any of the slippery bastards in charge, if your bureaucracy works anything like ours.
They wall themselves off from the people who pay them and who they’re supposed to serve.

Speaking of the Veterans’ Administration and its nationwide system of hospitals and outpatient clinics – I’m one who believes the VA is the Government medical experiment for the next logical step after Obamacare does its intended job and destroys the private medicine industry.

In fact, one fine day – maybe ten years for now – the Government will simply take down the VA sign and put a new one saying something like, “National Healthcare Center” FREE HEALTHCARE FOR ALL CITIZENS :!:  ….I mean why should just the wounded, disabled and poverty stricken veterans get free medical care :?:

Folks there is more than just veterans in mind for the Government is going gangbusters building new VA hospitals and taking over civilian ones that have went bankrupt all over the country.

    • Darin says:

Yup,I thought that several years ago Ron,the VA chain along with all the formerly private, now turned public hospitals will be the new state run facilities once the full effect of obamacare kicks in.
