Let’s “phase out” damn busybodies.

‘The Commissioner for the Environment’s latest report says that, while regional councils deem unflued gas heaters a “clean” form of heating, noxious gases create dangerous “indoor air pollution”.
Dr Jan Wright said in her analysis of 2014 Air Domain Report that health authorities wanted free-standing gas heaters, dubbed “poor person’s heaters” because they were cheap to buy, phased out…’       link
Nowhere in this article does it suggest a reasonably-priced alternative, and one jerkoff avers that the key to keeping warm is home insulation.
Well, it ain’t. It’s simply one factor. No matter how well insulated the home, some form of heating is still necessary.
No doubt those who support removing this affordable and convenient form of heating can afford the alternatives and their activism comes at no cost to themselves, but “fuel poverty” kills thousands of people every winter in Europe and I would be willing to bet that the same thing happens in NZ, albeit on a smaller scale. Energy prices in this country are a ripoff and a scandal.
If “Dr” Jan Wright would care to foot my power bill I’d be perfectly willing to scrap our gas heater.

A genuine threat to air quality would be the hot steamy inanities which pour from this creep’s mouth. Every generation breeds a few more Hitlers.

So many new houses over here have been built so tight that the air inside is seldom replaced. As a result, pollen, pet and human dander builds up and then people start getting sick not to mention stale stuffy air.It has nothing to do with what type heater is in the home.
