Washington state governor Jay Inslee wants a carbon tax . . . to pay for education and transportation:
He has proposed collecting a new charge on emissions from oil refineries, power plants and other industries that would reap an estimated $1.3 billion in the first year. But in contrast to similar systems in California and the Northeast, energy experts said, Mr. Inslee’s plan would use most of the new revenue for education and transportation rather than on climate or energy projects…’   Link

          Thanks for checking KG. Turns out it was blocking me. I had to reload once just to see a comments box that I could click. Then after clicking and nothing happened, I reloaded and then finally got the comments.

          Could it be Net Neut(e)rality at work? :) While they might not be responsible for all current and future malfunctions, their very existence makes them an easy scapegoat. :)

    Climate Scam: It seems to be a universal response to this idiocy to try and thump industry and enterprise as a solution to a non-existent problem.
    Speed Camera: This device is a revenue collector not a safety instrument. Good on the QC for using his expertise to challenge the use of these cameras.

    As for the speed cameras,both articles are examples of politicians intruding where they don’t belong and taking what is not theirs without the consent of the people. :evil:

    But as we now see,the mere act of getting elected to office they see as having permission to bend us over and screw us dry.God help the bastards when the shooting starts :evil: :evil:

      Would God help Pope Francis when the shooting starts ?

      ‘Pope Francis advocates the global warming agenda of the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), with the help of the Obama White House. Apparently, he doesn’t know their ultimate objective of reducing and controlling population generally contradicts Catholic doctrine. The irony is that as a Jesuit, the ideological church police, he should know, but apparently, his personal, political and economic perspective trumps it. He also doesn’t appear to know that population control comes naturally with industrial and economic development.’
