        Yes, and it will make the executions in Indonesia seem moderate and fairly administered!
        Thinking about Indonesia though, it occurs to me that the current President ought to attend the executions. He apparently strode to ascendancy on the basis of being strong on law/order particularly for drug dealers yet doesn’t front the condemned. In Arkansas when Clinton was Governor he had a similar reticence to attend executions despite signing off the death warrants.

          It’s a good thought. Easy enough to campaign for votes on that basis, but much, much harder to take personal responsibility for the results.

      It got down to around 17c overnight in the Territory once, and we went shopping in Darwin for a fan heater. Not one to be found, so we went home 600km away and put the electric oven on and left the ceiling fans running. :)

            I used to live in an apartment where the gas bill was tallied for the whole level and then divided equally amongst the occupied units.

            It was common knowledge that when it got cold people just ran their stoves, but they didn’t want to suffocate so they also left their windows open.

    A month and a half ago, this came to the surface: New NHS rules mean women with genital piercings will be recorded as suffering female genital mutilation, and then vanished again. I was puzzled: why? Why should women who have chosen to make their genitals pretty in their view be counted up with those who had them sliced up on the demands of their fathers, imams, or holy book?

    Ah, now it makes sense. But by conflating FGM with some female decoration (personal views of good sense etc may of course be different) the keepers of the statistics will be able to propagandise that the FGM problem is present in all branches of British society, and is NOT just a Muslim/Islam issue. Another case of “head meet sand” dhimmitude on its way methinks. For Islam IS the only source of coercion in this matter, the rest is a personal choice which may or may not be wise depending on the observer’s personal view.

    It seems that the msm is in a contest amongst itself to end up as far from reality as it can manage. The 2 drug-dealers who were executed in Indonesia are described this morning as “brave!” Apparently they are “brave” due to not having a blindfold at the execution site. Let’s not forget 2 salient points:
    1 These criminals fought against their executions all the way to pleading for mercy; “brave?” I say no!
    2 These executions took place the very week we have all be remembering the guts and blood of those at Gallipoli who died largely without choice nor with the illusion of personal gain.
    The msm are hanging on everything about the 2 criminals including monitoring their corpses’ return to Sydney and the wailing of family members.
