‘Iran city swelters at 67.8 degrees’
errr…no. Whoever wrote that front page headline in Stuff news NZ is an idiot or a warmy cultist.   It was actually 43c and very humid.

Interesting item on Climate Depot about organic produce:

    http://www.forbes.com/sites/henrymiller/2015/07/29/why-organic-agriculture-is-a-colossal-hoax/

For me the take away fact is “99.99 percent (by weight) of the pesticides in the American diet are chemicals that plants produce to defend themselves.” So these idiots are paying up to double to avoid 0.01% of the pesticides in the vegetables they eat.

    • Darin says:

Locally, organic “free range” Eggs are $8-10/dozen,regular old Eggs are $1.95/dozen.The organic ones are smaller, unwashed and taste just the same. The organic racket is just another crowbar scheme to pry money out of dupes wallets.

I do go for locally grown produce however, since it is usually better, just because it hasn’t crossed an ocean or half the country to get to the grocery store.

Gosh. You mean there’s a difference? How can you tell?http://falfn.com/CrusaderRabbit/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_unsure.gif

It was hot and humid enough yesterday that the humidity was visible at noon.Luckily a line of thunderstorms blew up and cooled us off to a nice 68f last night.

      From your link:
‘..Last night, the Department for Transport announced it was temporarily relaxing rules around drivers working times to help clear the backlog of lorries on the M20 in Kent. For the next month drivers will be able to work 11 hours a day, rather than nine…”

      That’ll fix it, eh?

Somewhere in Athens, a Greek truck driver’s head just exploded as he completes his arduous 5-hour work day. http://falfn.com/CrusaderRabbit/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_yahoo.gif

    • The Gantt Guy says:

      “migrants”. Now *that’s* a good one! http://falfn.com/CrusaderRabbit/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_yahoo.gif

From the link: “Life in our villages is very difficult, we can’t live there. I lost an uncle and we lost all our property and home in the war, everything was destroyed.”

But of course, the problem isn’t their culture or their religion. That whole religious enlightenment thing, the Magna Carta, the industrial revolution, and creating every.single.useful.item everyone in the world uses every day was nothing to do with culture or religion. Nothing whatever to do with the Judaeo/Christian work ethic. It was pure, dumb luck coupled of course with colonial oppression.

People get very upset with me when I say there are some people, come cultures, that simply do not deserve the benefits of civilisation because neither they nor their ancestors have paid the price for the benefits it brings.

They get even more upset when I say that western civilisation, built on the enlightnment and the Judaeo/Christian work ethic, is the greatest, most advanced civilisation the world has ever known. It has led to the liberation and enrichment of more people than at any time in history and we should therefore require of those who wish to come to civilisation from the third world that they eschew their own culture and assimilate into ours, because ours is superior in every single way.

You’d think I’d just up and spat on their morning brioche!

Some M’F’ers aren’t fit to be anything but helots.

A multi-class society seems inevitable no matter the principles it’s founded on. My best guess at prosperity is that the capacity to vote should be earned by some sort of demonstrable merit.

        • The Gantt Guy says:

Absolutely, Wombat. The Universal Franchise is a complete and utter failure. The only people who should be allowed to vote are (a) those who are nett taxpayers, or (b) those who serve in the armed forces.

          • Wombat says:

I would agree on an unusual proviso.

I believe REMFs should not be counted as soldiers, and where possible their duties should be privatised (with suitably iron clad contracts).

Part of the reason our trigger pullers are paid so dismally is that you can’t afford to pay them their worth if a forklift driver wearing camo demands the same pay, and “danger pay” doesn’t cut it, not even nearly.

So, yeah, I think Heinlein’s Starship Trooper model has merit, but not if the left can stack the (considerably more numerous) REMF jobs and drown out the votes of the gun-numbers.

    • KG says:

Excellent! It’ll take this – and more – before people begin to wake the hell up.

      • Wombat says:

        Incredible.

Supposedly the nations that once battled each other for control of the world cannot manage better than a flimsy cyclone wire fence to keep out the trash.

As for this refugee camp they call “the jungle”, I bet if you went to the other side of town and parked your caravan on a vacant patch of public land there would be an army of police there to evict you before you had the kettle boiled.

This is not spinelessness. This is planned chaos.

This thing about “gay cliques”, though. This wormed its way deeply into the teaching profession a century ago. Only now are we seeing the ugly side of that. Whatever is going to happen to our police forces if they are driven in that direction? Next thing you know, US military boys will be ordered – ORDERED! – to wear red high heels for some home fag hoe down. Kin hell, just quietly get on with whatever it is you do, just don’t frighten the horses. Oh, and leave the kids alone.

A federal judge late Friday granted a temporary restraining order against the release of recordings made at an annual meeting of abortion providers. The injunction is against the Center for Medical Progress, the group that has unveiled Planned Parenthood’s participation in the sale of organs harvested from aborted children.
Judge William H. Orrick, III, granted the injunction just hours after the order was requested by the National Abortion Federation.
Orrick was nominated to his position by hardline abortion supporter President Barack Obama. He was also a major donor to and bundler for President Obama’s presidential campaign. He raised at least $200,000 for Obama and donated $30,800 to committees supporting him, according to Public Citizen.

“Australia’s problem with racism is like America’s problem with guns. It is so culturally pervasive and endemic that its supporters and purveyors operate with complete impunity.”

This is (as best as I can remember word for word) what I just heard on ABC radio not 60 seconds ago. It was followed by the usual disclaimer “these are the words of…” and, yes, the ABC that runs ads every 5 second about how it has “no bias or agenda” has trotted out another left wing fruitcake who would be a nobody but for his political leanings and called upon him to kill two birds with one stone by bashing gun owners and Adam Goodes detractors (racists by default) in one interview.

At least they’re demonstrating some capacity for efficiency.

    • Darin says:

Odd,we don’t have a problem with either, must be some people who are racist and anti-gunners….oh ya democrats that’s who!
