Sounds like the old story about Germany:
“In our little village we just made cuckoo clocks. We knew nothing of the war- until your bombers came.”

As a post-war refugee from Germany myself, as a displaced person, I have some sympathy with people who are trying to get out of the shitholes that their Countries have become. That was then when immigration was orderly and controlled. We were expected to assimilate and we did. We worked very hard and did well. We learned the language and would not have dreamed of insisting on cultural considerations. What is being foisted on the West now is something quite different. Old agreements need to be urgently revised.

I think we all know precisely the identity of the turd that was dumped in the diversity soup.

Hardcore nationalists may have bitched in the past about kikes, currymunchers and slopes setting up shop, but the sky never fell.

The truth is plain to see. The moment islam upped stakes and claimed refugee status from the the very islamic shitholes their religion spawned things have gone downhill quite quickly.

Oswald, my dad was a U Boat operative. They loved their families too. And I loved him. War is War.

    • Oswald BAstable says:

These day I’m a bit more understanding of how the ordinary Germans got swept up in events.

After all, it’s happening to us now, in much the same way- and to make it worse- we have not learned what happened. so few of us can see the storm coming.

      • KG says:

        Exactly so.
I went to boarding school in Germany for a while and it left me with a lifelong affection for Germans and their culture, so I tend to see them somewhat differently to the “bad German” caricature.

        • Wombat says:

I am the son of the daughter of wartime German immigrants.

I see two polar opposites in this time.

The first is my grandmother, who never participated in the war but felt an eternal shame for what happened.

The other is every muslim I see who bears a secret shame for not being the latest mass murder.

I don’t blame ordinary Germans for the actions of that drug addled lunatic and his inner circle. He only came to power I believe after the events set in motion by the allies in WWI insisting on reparations.Germany should have been disarmed at the end of WWI,but not impoverished.Hungry, desperate people are more willing to fall in behind a lunatic dictator every time IMO.

The insistence on reparations led to the US and Britain trying to prop up the Wehrmacht republic and the German Marc in 27′-28′ which led directly to the worldwide currency and market collapse of 29′.It was depression era Germany that gave rise to Hitler.

        • Wombat says:

A chilling prospect, considering the state of global finances. There are plenty of Hitlers in art school right now.

  5. Seneca III says:

The word that first springs first to mind is ‘testicles’. Shall we say that my German friends have ihttp://falfn.com/CrusaderRabbit/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_cool.gifndicated to me that they are not necessarily of this mind set.

    • andy5759 says:

Wossat, Seneca III? Sqaure heads getting spheroids maybe? Nah, seriously, governments know that they can always rely on the tied press and telly to tell their story. Things are such that when we do get someone to stand up and talk the talk we distrust them. What Labour needs is for Jeremy to get a little bit nazsty. What we need is a fucki*ng conservative party. UKIP? Who kip? Britain is essentially a Labour Party country. Labour ought to be occupying the territory which the Tories hold. The Tories ought to be un fuckin*g electable. They’re not unelectable because f*ucking labour are seen as traitorous bastard*s. We will discover which big problem needs solving with some urgency. We will try a few solutions before we arrive at the obvious conclusion. God help us all.

As an American living thru what looks like a neo-Nazi (or neo-Communist, take your pick) slow motion coup against my Republic, I know now how many Germans felt in the 20s and 30s when their representative republic was conquered from within by the dark side.

    • andy5759 says:

We go again. Again. Again. History is ignored, better if it were called herstory. Cunt*s. We are hag ridden.

Changing the subject a wee bit, how are you Ronbo? Last I saw here you were on a stretcher? Extra strong stretcher, that is. Only having a giraffe.

      • Wombat says:

Not sure I follow. Do you read the stuff you’ve just written or do you hit post before editing?

    • mawm says:

Ron – There were a huge number of Germans who fought for the Fatherland (or if in the armed forces did their military duty), not the political party. The same in the US I suspect.

      • KG says:

        True, that.

        • Ronbo says:

Also, the German army tried more than one time to assassinate Hitler…The July 20, 1944 bomb plot being the most famous.

Yes, there was always resistance to the Nazis from all levels of society and among the most heroic were the thousands of anti-Nazis in Berlin who hid over 5,000 Jews right under Hitler’s large nose.
