    KG, Glad to see you back. I hope that you were only stress testing the system and didn’t cause Gecko too much grief. However, if the system was stress testing you let us know where we should meet with bricks for some amorphous silica continuity testing.

        Note: VA is typical socialized medicine – and I’m 100% covered as retired veteran – and happily the only “care” I’ve received from VA is my free prescriptions. My heart attack in Orlando in 2007 and my recent accident in Seattle were taken care of by the excellent free market civilian hospitals – which gave me five star care – and SENT THE HIGHLY INFLATED BILLS TO VA, which did actually pay them to the penny :-)

        So VA care does work for the experienced trooper who knows his way around the government bureaucracy…. :-)

      I have to say I’ve received outstanding care from the V.A. Invariably, they treat me like a king.

      Some times I have to ride them for an apptmt.

      Don’t know about that report. Just a kind word for they nice, competent people who’ve treated me.

            You know being a Class III threat to the American presidency has its good points – when I travel by air, a nice young white Secret Service agent(s) meets and greets me before the TSA checkpoint and walks me thru the special law enforcement entrance to the Gates – and takes me right to the airplane.

            When the plane lands at my destination, the nice
            white young Secret Service agent(s) meet and greet me on the jetway as soon as I step off the aircraft and escort me out of the airport gates to directly to a heavily armored waiting black limo for a free trip to my hotel, or friend’s house.

            Of course, the Boys In Black simply insist on handling my suitcase and laptop themselves :-)
            And who am I to stop their five star valet and limo service, I ask you? :-)

    Some here know I do science for a living (not climate science!) so numbers are a big part of what I do. I would like it if anyone can explain to me how, with over 94 million working age adults no longer looking for work, the current administration thinks it can get away with saying unemployment is at only 5.1%? I know they don’t count the ‘no-longer-looking’ crowd but Why aren’t more people calling the government out on the false narrative?

      I’ve never known any government to be honest about true unemployment figures, Michael.
      The 94 million figure is interesting for another reason: The Chamber of Commerce, big businesses and politicians say that mass immigration is necessary because of a shortage of workers. That figure demonstrates their true agenda, which is to depress wages and conditions to the point where Western countries have a pool of serf labor.

      The real unemployment rate is in the government stats – This is the U6 number – The U3 number, however, the propaganda number and always much lower, is the only one announced by the Lamestream Media that loves Socialism and Obama.

      The real unemployment rate is 14% – nearly three times what is being reported.

    This is a video of a stunt pilot who, in real life, is a Delta Airlines pilot. His act at air shows is to pretend that he is a drunken spectator who rushes from the stands and jumps into a Piper Cub and takes off without any understanding of how to fly a plane.

    The Piper Cub is actually specifically built to withstand an enormous amount of stress and has a very powerful engine.

    This type of stunt is actually the most dangerous of air show acts, because of the low altitude at which the pilot performs. Obviously, this pilot possesses unbelievable skill.

      I once flew with a military pilot who showed me what an Alouette helicopter is capable of doing. I didn’t particularly like his demonstration of how to land after engine failure at a height by auto-rotating.
