‘Britain was forced to rely on new “last resort” measures to keep the lights on for the first time on Wednesday after coal power plants broke down and wind farms produced less than one per cent of required electricity.
…UK wind farms have a theoretical maximum capacity of more than 13,000 megawatts, but produced less than 400 megawatts of power for much of the peak demand period – meeting less than one per cent of the UK’s electricity needs, published data suggests.
…Britain’s 8,000 megawatts of solar panel capacity would also have produced no power during the peak, because it was dark at the time….’
Why don’t they invite Al Gore for a speaking tour? He could provide enough hot air to power the place for a month.

“Freezing naked in the dark” the goal of the environmentalist movement.Winter is coming and massive snowfall has been forecast, wonder how well those solar panels will work covered in snow?

Ha! Pommes. Another glorious defeat coming – this time science and common sense.

Bloody well done. That’s just great, Britain.

Frankly, I am embarrassed about all of this. The only saving grace is that we kept our high quality coal under the ground and imported soft brown coal from Central Europe. Maggie the chemist moved quickly enough to make sure of that. There’s protein in them thar hills, and lots of other stuff too. I understand that Australia possesses significant reserves. NZ probably haven’t looked for any.

….not to mention West Virginia, USA where the coal fields could supply the world’s coal needs for the next 500 years; however, the Feds are rapidly shutting down the mines.

New Zealand has a (comparatively) massive supply of beautiful, high-quality, black gold (no, not Texas Tea). It’s being left in the ground for now because of the slump in global coal prices (and because ~90% of New Zealand’s power comes from safe, clean RENEWABLE hydro).

That doesn’t stop the “Green” “Peace” numptards from protesting, of course … because although hydro is renewable, it isn’t their kind of renewable (i.e. it’s in plentiful supply and won’t operate as an automatic choke on supply, killing people the way wind and solar do).

But wait on .. the Pope says we have to reduce CO2. Surely the Pope and the head of Germany and USA and muppets at UN can not be wrong. What is wrong with you people

Independent thought? An understanding of basic mathematics? Eyes that can see? An unwillingness to become enslaved to a global tyranny?
