The U.N. – a giant leftist propaganda machine:

Fairfax Media is a global partner of the United Nations Foundation
That makes Fairfax papers – The Age and Sydney Morning Herald – just propaganda sheets for an activist group pushing global warming. Do not expect any balance or impartiality in their coverage.
Take a look at the United Nations Foundation, and you’ll see just how far the tentacles of these evil bastards reach.

        Off topic question, KG:

Do you know how to download music to the MP4?

I just purchased an MP4 player and have only a foggy idea how to do this…I suppose the first step is to buy an MP4 converter…but then there is the problem of downloading music from the Internet without catching a nasty virus…How about you tube? Pretty insecure, right?

If you use firefox then you can go to the plugins section and search for a “youtube downloader”.

It should be a fairly safe install since mozilla doesn’t want to support software that’s going to rape your computer.

Once installed you can go to youtube and when you bring up a video there should be a new tab somewhere underneath it saying “download”. If you’ve picked the right plugin then it will give you a list of options of how you want to save the “video”, one of which should be as an MP4.

Click on that and wait for the download to start (little blue arrow in upper right corner of the screen for me). After that I navigate away from the youtube video to save bandwidth, because the download will still continue even if you go to a different page.

If you’re having problems then try a different youtube downloader plugin. I’ve found most work for most videos but none work on all of them.

          Hope that’s not too tech-ish. http://falfn.com/CrusaderRabbit/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_wacko.gif

Bah. Addendum. Go to “addons” in the file menu, and from there go to “plugins”. Use the search bar to find a “youtube downloader”.

I use Xilisoft to download YouTube videos. Even the basic (free) version seems to be very reliable and straightforward.

Thanks for the good advice Wombat and KG!

I did a “free download” several years ago on my laptop and received a free virus that cost $200 to get rid of…So I’m checking the water REAL close before I jump in again…

Damn right, Ronbo. The Xilisoft site is safe, and in any case I always check the URL to make sure I’m connected to the real site, not some scamming middleman before downloading anything.
