Apathy and ignorance rulez

NZ Herald “breaking news” headlines, this morning:
Total number of headlines: 10
Of those, 5 concern sports. 3 entertainment.
Just 2 are real news.
Anybody who gets their “news” only from traditional print sources and television is frighteningly uninformed and that’s the way your government likes it.

… are frighteningly uninformed… ain’t that the case everywhere? Although to be fair I have met more people in the last couple of years who seek out the truth online. Some of them need pointing in the right direction, but just looking indicates a dissatisfaction with the lame stream media.

Well there’s no fucking politics to report on is there? As you would expect in a one party state.

Sad to see NZ reduced to a bunch of shambling shuffling political eunuchs.

    Whitebait have more spine.

The local rag over in my neck of the woods dedicates a whole page to world news.

Although I refuse to pay for it I got a copy gratis the other day. There was a leopard attack in a zoo (one dead), a report that 25% of British teens were being bullied online, a puff piece about Prince William and the other two stories were so irrelevant I’ve forgotten them already.

      Meanwhile, the world burns.
