Milo:

‘Here’s Why The Left Is So Desperate To Defend The New Feminist Ghostbusters
Man, am I tired of being right! Sure as night follows day, the trailer for the new, feminist-friendly, chick-laden Ghostbusters is tanking on YouTube. With nearly 750,000 dislikes, it is the most hated trailer in the site’s history.
You’d think it would be time for the movie’s defenders to face reality, and accept the ill-fated reboot for what it is: a feminist cash-in for angsty, blue-haired, Tumblr-obsessed, pronoun-bothering cat ladies….’

I used to be an avid movie goer on the weekends, but although I’m surrounded by numerous movie choices within a short walking distance here in downtown Seattle, I haven’t been to a walk-in movie in months because the late releases are absolute trash…The chickication of the classic 1980s “Ghost Busters” is but the latest example of Hollyweirdness at its most strange.

No, I put my money into HDTV, DVDs and streaming Internet movie selections where I can pick and chose the best movies, docs and mini-series made in the world.

  2. MacDoctor says:

Original Ghostbusters: Bill Murray, Dan Ackroyd, Rick Moranis and Harold Ramis. (Not forgetting Sigourney Weaver, of course)

New Ghostbusters: 4 women from Saturday Night Live only one, of which (Kristen Wiig), has any previous big movie experience and name recognition

    What’s not to like?

The only reason it has only 500,000 dislikes is that you can only press the dislike button once, instead of the one thousand times it actually deserves.

      Exactly.

    • Darin says:

All of that and it’s a continuation of Hollywood taking movies that people genuinely enjoyed, that they grew up with and ruining them with crappy remakes.

      • Gregoryno6 says:

Speaking of crappy remakes, there’s a new Magnificent Seven on the way. The villain in 2016 is an industrialist. A Rich White Bastard, in other words.
As someone on IMDB asks: Why not remake the bad movies and leave the good ones alone?
Jeez, next they’ll be remaking 2001 and the monolith will talk!

        • KG says:

They’re mere parasites, Gregory, devoid of any originality.

        • Darin says:

Yup,I watched the new Starwars the other night,it was okay, that’s it,just okay.It was “JJAbramsized” meaning fiddle fart around for 1 hr 45 minutes and try to cram the plot into the last 15 .

          • Gregoryno6 says:

I’ve been misled by previews before, but Rogue One might be better than the last four SWs combined.
They dared tinker with the music at least!

          • Bo Chandler says:

My boy was thrilled with the new Star Wars, and I did my best not to rain on his parade.
Honestly, I left the cinema desperate to scream “seriously, another f__king death star?”

            • Darin says:

Ya,you noticed that too,and of course it too was protected by a force field that just had to be knocked out before they could attack

Just proves the dark side is stuff full with socialist economists, third DS in a row and they keep trying

I also wonder how much they paid Mark Hamill for his 45 second performance where he said absolutely nothing

              • Bo Chandler says:

Reckon he couldn’t have spoken if he tried.

That girdle looked painfully tight.

                • Darin says:

LOL ya,I hear the next episode has them all sharing a Condo in Florida

  3. Flashman says:

Nice to see Phoneywood taking it the shorts.

What was the budget for that trailer, 50 bucks?

  4. Bo Chandler says:

It’s nice to see the progs tossing their champions into the ring of public sentiment only to have them beaten to bloody pulps.

  5. Brown says:

I love the free to decide what I watch market. Long may it last although I guess in some parts of the world its still not like that with a communist or cleric deciding what is compulsory viewing.

    • KG says:

The ratbastard copyright laws are getting ever-tighter though, Brown.

      • Darin says:

They are starting to give the content away and make their money solely off the product placement.

Lately the best movies are being turned out by the smaller companies.American Sniper,The Hornet’s Nest and Act of Valor being some of the better ones that have came out in recent years, all based in part on real events.

  6. Warren Tooley says:

Well you’ll be happy to know I watched the trailer and immediately gave them a ‘down trou’ I mean downtick. Last time I looked, they had 750,000 downticks and 250,000 upticks.

  7. Warren Tooley says:

Update, 762,000 dislikes, 233,000 likes. I’m using ’round’ figures, as the whole point of the movie is to endorse round women, hee hee hee.
