Crusader Rabbit’s new owner

Yep, there will be questions asked about the murky media ownership deal, about the offshore accounts and shadowy figures pulling the strings…
But our media advisor – who I can only name as Rupert X – assures us that such enquiries will come to nothing.
So…Darin is the new owner, the white knight and I owe him a large vote of thanks.
After ten years of blogging it’s time to get back to my core mission of….who knows? So many interests, so little time. And less energy than of yore since I began to glow in the dark.
My thanks to the wonderful commenters in CR, you’ve made it worth the effort and believe me when I say you’ve probably helped keep me (relatively) sane. I’ll still be around but as a guest, for as long as Darin and Bo will put up with me.

Darin will be a great Grand Master of Crusaders I’m sure – and the portrait of the first Grand Master KG will forever grace the main dining room – where the round table for the knights is located.http://falfn.com/CrusaderRabbit/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_good.gif

  2. Robertv says:

It is indeed a sad day. Thank you for the hard work you have put into this excellent blog and for the enjoyable hours I have spent reading your’s and your visitors’ ideas, commentary and links. I hope that you are still a “regular” on the new CR. http://falfn.com/CrusaderRabbit/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_cry.gif

To Darin – I wish you well but you do have big shoes to fill. I will always be a CR reader/commenter. http://falfn.com/CrusaderRabbit/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_good.gif

  7. Fairfacts Media says:

Good luck with everything you do KG.
You have created an excellent blog, one that is underrated among the wider blog community.
I do hope your stepping back is not for anything really negative.
We often find the hustle and bustle of everyday life does tend to get in the way.
Keep up the good fight as best you can.
All the best yo you and Gecko.

  9. Gregoryno6 says:

Meet the new boss, same as the old boss.
For once that can be said with optimism rather than cynicism.
All the best to you, KG. You’ve created a blog that is a true community.
And Darin, many thanks to you for picking up the reins.

  10. tranquil says:

Sorry to see you go, KG.

I’m sure, though, that Darin will have very much the same “kick-ass, damn-the-torpedoes” approach that you’ve had!
Best wishes, KG, and many thanks to Darin for taking over!

  11. Tom says:

So long mate all the best

  12. minette says:

Sorry to learn that you are retiring Wabbit but thank you for the years of interest and enjoyment I’ve had from Crusader Rabbit. I’ll miss your voice.
All the best too for your new battle from a cyber-lurking feline chum.

  13. dondiego says:

Hope whatever endeavours go good. I remember when I found this place through the now non-read-worthy kiwiblog. Something like ‘Right wing blogs’ or ‘Redbaiters mates’ and I thought “So there is some sanity on the ‘net”.

That was probably six or more years ago…

Thanks for your efforts, and I’m fairly certain the new blokes will keep it as the first-stop when I turn this computer on. Go well http://falfn.com/CrusaderRabbit/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_good.gif

  14. Yokel says:

Wabbit, best wishes in your retirement. I bet it will be just like my own grandfather’s when he was wondering how he “ever found time to go to the office”. Get stuck in and enjoy yourself away from here.

I doubt there will be any need, but I think you can be assured that the rest of the Crusaders will keep the new bosses honest!

  15. KG says:

All I can say is “thank you” to you all for your kind comments. Darin is inheriting a wonderful group of people.

  16. Darin says:

A wonderful group indeed-Thank you all for the support,I will do my all to exceed expectations.KG leaves big shoes to fill, but as I am sure he will say,it’s the contribution from all of you that make CR worth doing.

And as I told KG several times already,as far as I am concerned it will always be his Blog and anytime he feels up to firing off a good broadside or leading a raiding party there will be plenty of shot and powder stored and at the ready!

We will continue to hear sage words from KG because he’s addicted to blogging like me…Yes, we Bloggers can go for a few days without posting and feel fine – but then the withdrawals start…It’s horrible! You can’t eat! You can’t sleep! You start yelling at the TV and get into arguments with the talking heads! So you find an Internet connection….even if it is 3 a.m. and the only connection in town is a seedy rundown Internet cafĂ© with terrible coffee, uncomfortable chairs and smelly patrons.http://falfn.com/CrusaderRabbit/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_yahoo.gif

Life is for living, you’ve helped me to live mine simply by being there. Now it’s time to live yours. I wish you fortune in your endeavours. Thank you.

http://falfn.com/CrusaderRabbit/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_good.gif Three cheers for KG and three cheers for Darin! http://falfn.com/CrusaderRabbit/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_good.gif

(I was only ever a option of last resort and was thankfully not required. I might not have the head to handle such giddy heights of power. )

  19. MvL says:

Thank you KG for an oasis of sanity over the last few years.
What I like about the joint is….
    Plenty of This!.
    And absolutely none of This!.
I am sure what you have created is in good hands.

Hi KG, thanks for setting up this blog. Its been plenty of fun, all the best.http://falfn.com/CrusaderRabbit/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_cry.gif

Darin, KG was a fire-breather but always a gentleman. Hopefully you will retain his fine record. KG and Gecko, all best wishes.http://falfn.com/CrusaderRabbit/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_heart.gif

  24. john says:

    Thanks KG.

Still remember finding this and feeling at last some sanity.

When banging my head over some issue come here and find others who see the truth and see through the bs that besets society at the present time.
I am sure Darin will keep up the good work.

  25. mara says:

I am sure you are a good person Darin but why do I feel so sad?

  26. Ronbo says:

    Bo Chandler said:

“I was only ever a option of last resort and was thankfully not required. I might not have the head to handle such giddy heights of power”

I thought I was the last “Fail-Safe” to keep this blog on the Internet?

Of course, CS wouldn’t have worked with me at the helm, as I’m not humble and lovable like Darin and KG.

The only election I ever won was in high school when by a 99% vote I was dubbed “Least popular student of the senior class.”

When I made sergeant in the Army after only 18 months service, I wondered about my rapid rise, so asked the company First Sergeant why he put me in the front of the line for NCO – He said, “Well son, it’s like this – no one in your squad likes you. This makes you prime NCO material – Sergeants are suppose to be disliked. And as an added bonus, if the officers hate you too, the Sergeant-Major will make you a First Sergeant.”http://falfn.com/CrusaderRabbit/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_yahoo.gif

KG, I admire the effort you have put in to CR. It’s been first read of the day for me since you started.

Good luck and very best wishes.
