Hmmm….beginning to see a pattern here.
The FBI completed a record 1,870,000 checks through the National Instant Criminal Background Check System, or NICS, this May, according to an agency report. That’s almost 300,000 more checks than May of 2015, which set a record at the time.
It is also nearly a million more checks than May 2008.
The streak of gun-related background checks have come during a renewed focus by Democratic leaders on gun control efforts. Both President Obama and presidential candidate Hillary Clinton have publicly expressed support for Australian-style gun confiscation measures. Clinton has also said the Supreme Court was wrong on Second Amendment gun rights protections.

Not long ago the local rag tossed out their annual front page anti-gun propaganda scare story. Why? Because the SSAA started a used gun web site. Civilised folks are expecting the sky to fall any minute now.
As usual they called for comment on Roland Browne, “vice president” of the organisation “Gun Control Australia”. He used the be president but rumour has it that he demoted himself to vice president because it would give uninformed folk the impression that there was at least two people in the organisation rather than one.
Personally I’d like to find out what this guy does for a day job, and if he doesn’t have one then where is his salary coming from?
It’s galling. It would be like me starting an organisation called “Vehicle Control Australia” staffed and supported by me and me alone, thereafter to be called on for comment by the news-morons every time someone crashed their car.
Paid experts-what’s the old saying “an expert is anyone with a suit and a briefcase more than five miles from home”-OR-“If you can’t dazzle them with brilliance you can at least baffle them with bullshit”
Just like anytime the media here does a piece on “militias” or “rightwing groups” aka “hate groups” they always reference the Southern Poverty Law Center which it’s sell is nothing more than a left wing hate group.
” The Pedestrian Council of Australia ” an outfit started and run by Harold Scruby and get’s way too much media coverage for a no body with NO qualifications what so ever.
