George Osborne; Christine Lagarde; the 10,000 EU apparatchiks who earn more than the Prime Minister; Goldman Sachs and most of the rest of the finance industry; the Magic Circle law firms; the big corporations which just love all that Euro regulation because it wipes out smaller competitors; all the big left-wing charities, environmental ones like the RSPB and the WWF especially because the EU pays them so much money; corporate lobbyists; SJW activists at Avaaz and 350.org and Change.org; the IMF; George Soros; wealthy landowners – especially those with EU-mandated wind turbines paying them squillions; everyone who works in diversity, compliance, human resources, sustainability, and equality; Nick Clegg; Nick Clegg’s lawyer wife; Liberal Democrats generally; Chris Evans and Jeremy Clarkson; everyone at the Guardian; everyone at the BBC apart from Andrew Neil, probably; and so on.
Make no mistake, we’re up against a bunch of bastards here so determined and unscrupulous they make Ramsay Bolton look like Mary Berry. These guys have EVERYTHING to lose from this – money, power, reputation, five-course lunches with foie gras, lobster, and Chassagne-Montrachet… – and they’ll stop at nothing to prevent us taking away their often ill-gotten privileges which too often the rest of us have to pay for.
What they’ll do to us, if we let them win, will be unspeakable.’

Good read by Fraser KG. So very true. Why would we English speaking peoples *want* to join so tightly with other people when we and our ancestors have been so right for so long?
I heard a journo on talkback radio yesterday on the way home and towards the end he was asked what he would do, not surprisingly he wanted the status quo, like the rest of all the elites and high end of town. He even said it himself, the bankers, elites and ruling class want to stay in.
I don’t really know the full implications of it, but instinct and experience tells me to go against whatever the ruling class wants. I’m not buying the whole economic argument that the sky would fall in for the UK if they leave. I’m no fancy economist but I see lots of countries doing very well standing by themselves with borders and on their own.
I hope the voters remember that there was life before the EU, it wasn’t plagues, death and eating diseased rats until some EU paper-pushers turned up; and it won’t be fighting over the local dumpster if you told them to take their alarmist nonsense and move along.
I’m hoping for an “out” result Mathew. The EU has spent years arguing about free trade deals with India and Australia etc and they’ve still not arrived at a decision.
On her own, Britain could negotiate those deals within a year and be far better off for them. The stories about economic hardship should Britain leave are so much scaremongering and the exact opposite of the truth.
BTW, what’s so fucking hard about doing a free trade agreement?
