The author doesn’t say so, but this urge to censor and punish comes almost entirely from the left. Show me a lefty and I’ll show you a closet totalitarian.

    Actually I blame Roberts and Ross. They should have stood their ground and ridiculed the complainants and the media but didn’t because they don’t have the balls. These two, and all the rest of the caponised men who have poked their heads over the top and then withdrawn, are just giving these femnazis more power as they see their tactics working time and time again.       Exactly how I feel about it, Mawm. The cowards who rush to apologise for telling the truth sicken me. They’re giving away our right to free speech.
      Yep, we have the logfire burning flat-out. It’s especially cold here because it’s so windy. It’s very hard on the lambs and calves, too.
      Gecko is out of hospital today, with a brand-new knee. It’s good to have my mate back home. :)

    Telling the truth and speaking your mind are rarely the same thing. I was taught at an early age, that when someone stands and says “I’m going to speak my mind!” It really means “I am going to rave out of my butt.” When someone is fired-up enough to declare they’re about to deliver a thought out message, pondered thoughts are the last thing you’ll get. You’ll get abuse, vitriol, hysterics and prejudices rather than anything worthy of consideration. The NZ media only reports the latter and the goldfish gobble it up.
