Evil walks the Earth

Sister Paula Merrill and Sister Margret Held served their community by offering free medical care to their community for over 30 years. The county they served is among the poorest in Mississippi with a majority black population. That didn’t concern the Sisters who only devoted their lives to serving others. They were very well thought of and admired by the community and served thousands of patients per year through application of knowledge administered with love and compassion ,the very definition of Christian.

The Sisters were murdered Thursday morning by an evil animal that roamed the streets-

      True.
      There’s no word dirty enough.

“The suspect is being held in an undisclosed jail”

I imagine there are quite a few people white and black alike that would like to stress test some rope.

I hate to say it, but the urban axiom of “No Good Deed Shall Go Unpunished” is operative in this case.

Taps for two good women murdered most foully…

Why can’t the bad guys get their karma more often?

          It boggles the mind.

Ah, but they do but the timing is not always up to us. The more serious thought is that those without Christ are doomed no matter how many cats they rescue from trees. The reality appears to be that civilisation is miles wide but only an inch thick.

      Ain’t that the truth.

I know that from first hand experience: In 1968 I was sent with a team of U.S. Army Intelligence people to Cambodia – then neutral in the war raging in Vietnam to interface with the Cambodian military – that was increasing leaning towards an alliance with the USA because increasing parts of their country was being occupied by the Viet Cong.

I was impressed with the Cambodian people – highly civilized, refined and gentle – and always with a smile! The living conditions were not bad by third world standards – and the man on the street bragged that no Cambodian went to bed hungry.

…fast forward to 1978….one third of the country’s population has been murdered by the Communists – the economy reduced to plantation slavery where even the ruling class had a substandard life style – and the cities were abandoned ruins.
