“I come in Peace.I didn’t bring Artillery. But I am pleading with you, with tears in my eyes, don’t fuck with me,or I will kill you all”-

“”The first time you blow someone away is not an insignificant event. That said, there are some a–holes in the world that just need to be shot. There are hunters and there are victims. By your discipline, you will decide if you are a hunter or a victim.”

  2. Adolf Fiinkensein says:

I see the usual gaggle of wets complains that a general should not be S of S on the grounds that (a) this undermines the civilian control of the military and (b) a gung ho US Marine would get the country into more wars than you can poke a stick at.

Well, Clinton and Obama certainly hold the record for the latter deficiency and, to my knowledge, senior army officers are far less likely to throw people into battle than civilians because, unlike civilians, they actually know what an awful business it is.

Better still, they are unlikely to commit troops under seriously prohibitive conditions of engagement. A retired general is far more likely to hold back and only commit when he knows he can WIN. Hillary and Obama don’t know how to win.

Of course, the wets forget that retired army officers in fact ARE civilians.

      Woops

      Should read S of D

        What Adolf said. Exactly. http://falfn.com/CrusaderRabbit/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_good.gif
And I’m pretty sure Oswald B. would agree.
Having said that, there are plenty of “generals” who are little more than pole-climbing bureaucrats with added fruit salad.. Mattis ain’t one of those.

  3. Brown says:

The other day I read about the US ambassador to Germany during WW1, James Gerard (a civilian as far as I’m aware) who said, in November 1917, that early in the war the German foreign minister said to him that the US dare not do anything against Germany because there were 500,000 German reservists in the US who would rise in arms against the US government if the US dared make a move. Gerard replied that the US had 500,001 lamp posts and that’s where the reservists would be hanging the day after tried to rise.

That is the conversation the west needs to be having, especially with Muslim immigrants today – decide where your loyalty rests. If not with your new country be prepared to pack up your rags and be sent back to where you came from.

      • Ronbo says:

I favor the deportation of all Muslims in the USA regardless of their citizenship status – native born or not.

My reasoning is their ideology of Islam makes invalid a loyalty oath to the United States .

If a Muslim is ready and willing to renounce his belief in Islam – then if a citizen he could remain, but would be put on a watch list for life.

Also, all Mosques and Islamic schools would be burned to the ground as terrorist training centers.

  4. Cadwallader says:

This man looks ideal for the job, but it has been pointed out elsewhere that he cannot accept the role until seven years have elapsed since he left the military. Is this correct? Can Trump waive the rule if it is indeed a rule?
