Lefty central planners

AKA stupid idiots-

http://nypost.com/2016/12/02/new-york-citys-traffic-is-intentionally-horrible/

“City officials have intentionally ground Midtown to a halt with the hidden purpose of making drivers so miserable that they leave their cars at home and turn to mass transit or bicycles, high-level sources told The Post.

Today’s gridlock is the result of an effort by the Bloomberg and de Blasio administrations over more than a decade of redesigning streets and ramping up police efforts, the sources said.”

If the Leftist PIGS keep doing this shit up – they going to find themselves standing up against the Wall and looking at a firing squad with M-4 rifles loaded with hollow point bullets.

THEY ARE RELLY, REALLY PISSING HUMAN BEINGS OFF!!!!http://falfn.com/CrusaderRabbit/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_negative.gif

It’s not just NYNY. LA, SF, Seattle I know for sure have shortchanged their automobile transportation systems in the name of forcing people to go communal. In LA, commuting takes roughly twice as long as it should. Which means millions of people have spent a non negligible fraction of their lives sitting in a car doing nothing when they could be home with their families.

Rope, politicians – some assembly required.

    • Ronbo says:

All the big cities are shit because they all are run by the Democrat Party, which remains in power in these places because illegal aliens and their welfare lackeys keep voting them in, year after year.

Do you know only 67 counties in the USA voted for Hillary? But guess where these large population counties are located and all the illegal shit that goes on there.

      Corruption! THY NAME IS DEMOCRAT!

      • K2 says:

Yep. Which is why a crew should be put together to hang banners from all the overpasses: “Enjoying spending your left stuck in traffic? Thank a Democrat!”

Hmm…..they don’t mention such trivial things as taxes and the type of outputs, do they?
I’d take this item with a very large pinch of salt.

        • Darin says:

GDP is not an accurate indicator of regional economic output. Most corporations are based in large population centers, but the work that makes those enterprises function is performed out in the “hinterland”.The article also ignores the fact that if production out in the “hinterland” were to stop, those population centers would revert to cannibalism in less than a week.

Brookings is also biased as they come, you may as well have linked to Huffpo

          • KG says:

“..you may as well have linked to Huffpo”
            http://falfn.com/CrusaderRabbit/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_yes.gif Yep.
(and “fish” is a troll, by the way, so you won’t get an intelligent response to those points, Darin)

Auckland is the same. Every single roading upgrade done by council that I have seen has caused massive delays in traffic flow. Funny I have always thought that it was either deliberate or they had idiots design them. http://falfn.com/CrusaderRabbit/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_negative.gif

  4. Brown says:

I’m a bus driver and hate with a passion all the roading improvements like speed humps, raised pedestrian crossings, curvy streets with paving to look pretty, cobblestones, small roundabouts and so on. They may hinder cars but are far, far worse for buses (I hate needless braking, accelerating and the darned bus rattles) so these things don’t really help public transport anyway. The idiots in charge are, well, idiots.

  5. mara the deplorable says:

They try to control us by deciding how we travel and where and how we live. An easy first step is making driving too awful so we use public transport and live in controlled communities on the rain line. Agenda 21 or 30. Hardly anyone realizes this, or if they do, they either approve or don’t care. Too many people cannot think clearly anymore.

    • mawm says:

Those last two words are superfluous. http://falfn.com/CrusaderRabbit/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_scratch.gif

      • Darin says:

There are some politicians and business leaders that are on the ball, and some that are straight up lying megalomaniacs, the rest can be sorted by Hanlon’s Razor-“Never ascribe to malice that which is adequately explained by incompetence.”

The hard question is,between megalomania and stupidity, which is the more dangerous? http://falfn.com/CrusaderRabbit/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_unsure.gif

Funny, I saw this story last week and rolled my eyes thinking, ‘Only here…’
Cars twice as fast as public transport for morning commutes in Perth
    http://www.perthnow.com.au/news/western-australia/cars-twice-as-fast-as-public-transport-for-morning-commutes-in-perth/news-story/72524c9b547fa5cfe9541722b7d2131b
The comparison would favour cars even more I suspect if we had a decent network of main roads.
