    Great article!
‘…My question to everyone is, how in the hell is Trump doing this?  How has he made so much happen, how has he accomplished all this (and more) while being simultaneously resisted by the left, some in his own party, and the entrenched bureaucracy and power we call the Deep State?…’

    • mawm says:

We’re doomed – if global warming doesn’t get you, Trump will… or maybe Putin…..

Maybe we are giving Trump too much credit; the left is doing much of their destruction on their own.

      • KG says:

“..the left is doing much of their destruction on their own.”
Socialism has always contained the seeds of its own destruction.

If the Hilldebeast was POTUS right now, this sudden eruption of powerful elite fanny pinchers and rape enthusiasts wouldn’t be happening. It started pretty coincidentally with Hillary threatening to run in 2020 and this is, at least in part, the Donks revoking of Bill’s “free blow job” card. Once it got started the vaginal dam broke, so to speak.

        • KG says:

I also think there’s a large element of mass hysteria involved, K2.

          • Darin says:

Trump builds things,he built an empire before he was 40 years old.His kids are building their own empires, most of them before they are 40.
Trump has built skyscrapers, businesses, saw opertunities where no one else did and made a fortune doing it.
Trump’s enemies? They have never built anything, ever, period. All they have done is leech off the works of others and stolen everything they have from it’s right full owners. They are esentially useless husks not fit for wheel chocks.

My ultimate wish is to see Obama tied into the granting of the Fisa warrant and his involvement in Uranium one plus other forms of sedition and going to Leavenworth for the rest of his days.

    • mawm says:

My hope is that it’ll all come out…… but none of them will ever be convicted of a crime. I personally believe that all Mueller and his posse are doing is burying the evidence against the Obama bunch of criminals as deep as they can – i.e. destroying it permanently.

It just takes one to talk before he can be Seth Rich’ed…..

‘Why we should love paying tax
Fiona Barber says it’s time we embraced a better society and paid our share of tax.’

No mention of the huge, leeching bureaucracy sucking the life out of the productive, no mention at all of the vast sums wasted on vanity projects and grants for cronies etc. The stupid cow needs either medicating or a brain transplant.

My apologies but I won’t read the link, I’ve given up with the NZ media as it’s usually untrue and/or barely coherent.

What’s up with all these women – are they competing to see who can be the most ill-informed and unthinking? Giving Jacinda a run for the bottom? We should never have given them a vote. (Apologies to Gecko, Mara, etc.)

Trump,Mattis turn Military loose on ISIS leaving the caliphate in tatters-

“After the battle to liberate Mosul – ISIS’ Iraqi headquarters – was completed in July — the U.S.-led coalition retook Tel Afar in August, Hawija in early October and Rawa in Anbar province in November.

Marine Col. Seth Folsom, who oversaw fighting in Al Qaim near the Syrian border, agreed. He wasn’t expecting his part of the campaign against ISIS to get going until next spring and figured even then, it would then “take six months or more.”

Instead, ISIS was routed in Al Qaim in just a few days.”

The state parlous state of “education” in New Zealand:
    The Herald headline:
‘Student’s controversial Dux call: Not all subjects are equal’
‘..An Auckland high-school graduate who came second to Dux despite doing what he says were “hard” academic subjects has written a passionate appeal saying subjects like art and cooking don’t compare.
Filip Vachuda, who was runner-up to this year’s dux at Onehunga High School, calls for adopting a common American system of weighting “hard” academic subjects, such as physics and calculus, as worth more than the dux’s “soft” subjects such as media and drama.
He wrote in an article for NZME’s EducationCentral website: “Losing out on Dux was never really important to me. After all, winning would only result in my name being put up in the hall for kids to emptily stare at.
“But while I had completed Level 3 English and a Scholarship exam in Year 12, and studied difficult subjects like physics or calculus, the Dux recipient had exempted herself from any math, science, or indeed, scholarship exams and extra subjects.“…’ (bold mine)

California governor blames devastating wildfires on climate change and says deadly winter infernos will be ‘the new normal’

    • Blamed climate change for deadly infernos and urged lawmakers to take heed of natural disasters
    • Fire crews bracing for high winds that are expected to whip Southern California wildfires Saturday night
    • Gusts of up to 40mph are expected Saturday and up to 50mph Sunday in the Los Angeles area
    • Six fires have destroyed more than 500 buildings, killed dozens of horses and forced 212,000 to evacuate
    • First fire-related death confirmed on Friday after woman was found dead in crash along evacuation route

Let me recommend a stupid movie, Kingsman. It’s so bad it’s good.

“villainous Richmond Valentine (Samuel L. Jackson) launches a diabolical plan to solve the problem of climate change via a worldwide killing spree.” Electronic impulses from smart phones drive people to kill each other as if they were robots.

Jackson plays a gayish, lisping, black billionaire with skills patterned on Steve Jobs. He successfully recruits to his scheme all major world leaders, including the US Prez.

The Sinister Media will tell us what it and its bosses wish, but only in comic book fashion.

Watching what happens to them all at the end is delightful. They deserve that it isn’t a fantasy.

“Climate change” it’s the new catch all to cover all manner of corruption and incompetence.Remember when New Olreans flooded this summer?Yup,Climate Change, even though the city burned through all the money they got to rebuild the pumping stations and had not hit a lick at fixing the problem in 12 years.

    • Pascal says:

The media with its choosing to forget pertinent details such as you recall are too complicit with all this deceit and will be deserving of their fate whether it be by the hand of those who rebel or the by the hand of those who now use them and will need them gone later.

Darin, here’s my more formal indictment of Governor Brown.
Fuel for Fires, Criminal Negligence, and Governor Brown
I think it highlights the deficit in all those like him.

The general aspects that identify these miscreants in office needs to be discussed more broadly and frequently, no?

Re:‘The downside of the #MeToo movement starting to dawn on women’

This situation is ripe for practical jokers. The whoopee cushion to be replaced by units that send out a wolf-whistle and make it appear it is coming from any direction what-so-ever.

Some young man walks in the door innocently, and the group of ladies in the corner all turn and glare in the direction of the “insult” while the culprit and friends are all laughing their heads off up in the balcony.

      It’ll make a fortune.

Got a nice present from my eye surgeon yesterday. I don’t have to go back t see him again unless something drastic happens. I had been on a decreasing schedule since my cataract surgery 3 1/2 years ago. I hd the highest myopia prescription he had ever done and other minor complications meant the surgery took twice as long as normal. But now everything has remained stable with my distance vision, field of view and retina blood supply. At $300 a visit, it was great news!

Did John Key take a kickback from Chinese interests?
‘…The business ties of ex-Prime Minister Sir John Key also come in for scrutiny, with Brady noting both his recent appointment to help media company Comcast develop business projects in China, as well as the recent sale of his Parnell mansion.
“The property was sold for $20m, well above market rates for the area, to an undisclosed Chinese buyer. John Key refused to answer any questions about the transaction”

From an interesting article about China’s influence in NZ.

  22. KG says:

‘NZ spy agencies raise concerns over Chinese ‘interference’
Warning by spy agencies a sharp contrast to soothing comments made by Ministers.
…Canterbury University professor Anne-Marie Brady has recently published a series of studies on China’s influence in New Zealand, noting close ties between former cabinet ministers and state-owned Chinese businesses and a river of political donations flowing to the government of the day…’

NZ is being colonised by China and some NZ politicians are complicit in this. Contrast their attitude to Australia’s measures to rein in Chinese influence.

  23. mawm says:

I received an email from the Ministry of Social Development today. I have cut and pasted the relevant bit.

Today the Government announced details of its Families Package, providing targeted income support for New Zealanders.

The package includes a new Winter Energy Payment to help older people and people on a benefit heat their homes over winter.

You don’t need to do anything to receive this payment.

It will be paid automatically to everyone receiving NZ Super, Veteran’s Pension, Jobseeker Support, Sole Parent Support, Supported Living Payment or a Youth Service Payment.

Payments will be made for 13 weeks from 1 July 2018.

Given that I’m also going to get a free year at university, maybe study something like art or photography for self fulfilment, things are looking up. I like this Labour government as this will be the first year in my adult life that I will have taken more than I’ve given. Suffer proles!

Well, this is a Gestapo investigator’s office.
      Gestapo Investigator

Save the comparison for those who insist that the Left Sinister are not the same as Nazi/Fascists.

I left this comment in response to a State dept flunky at the American Thinker link. I included a link to that second image.

I asked her the facetious question “Don’t you find it comforting how Leftist Sinister dominated institutions are decorated not at all like those of historic authoritarian institutions?”

      I don’t expect an answer.

But if you agree that authoritarians have been consistent in their displays of power, please go give my comment an up vote so as to stick it to her further.

  25. Ronbo says:

A wise man once said that Communism was impossible for America -but Nazism? Hmmm? Just call it something like, “The New Wave” – it’ll work!

After all, socialized medicine passed muster as “The Affordable Care Act” and censorship of the Internet as “Net Neutrality.”

“Hey, come on! Be a smarty! Let’s all join the Nazi Party!”

Yes, Fascism is here! But we won’t call it that and everything will be soooo NICE!

    • Pascal says:

      Good point Ronbo.

I am at a loss to find a significant difference to how Crony Capitalists get their leg up all over the world and how major German corporations thrived during Hitler’s reign and yet came back after his destruction. Is there any wonder what lesson corporate bigwigs gleaned from that?

      • Ronbo says:

Let’s face it: Democracy is dead. The wave of the future is the Strongman – The Man On Horseback – The Caesar….and does anyone besides us old patriots care? The People want peace and quiet and a steady meal ticket. The chaos and hatred of the present day is a loser. The conflict today is between the Communists and the Fascists over which party shall constitute the government of the United States and bring the People the peace, quiet and stability they pray for.

Yes, there may be a violent civil war over the “Crown” – that forces us to chose the lesser of the two evils, but at the end of the day there will be an oligarchy in charge – an authoritarian oligarchy and this is acceptable – People want order and discipline..

I’m reading a book entitled, “Life and Fate” written by a Russian Communist mugged by reality in WW II. One scene takes place in a German concentration camp where a Soviet Secret Police (NKVD) officer finds a friend in a Nazi Gestapo agent and commandant and they have conversations late at night in which they conclude that there is no real difference in the two totalitarian systems, it was just that Fascism more acceptable in Germany – and Communism more suited for conditions in Russia.

        • Pascal says:

Yep. The apparatchik to whom I asked the question has evaded it. Meanwhile she’s gone on through the American Thinker article you brought here and made 5 more comments to people whom had not addressed her. So for that reason I edited my original comment so that even a fool Statist who’s never read Gulag Archipelago can’t miss the implications.
Do you find it comforting how Leftist Sinister dominated institutions are decorated like those of historic authoritarian institutions?

I will take your lack of response as indication that you are convinced your side will win and that you will remain in good graces with those whom employ you.

She is someone who obviously has been asked the loaded questions: “Who do you think is gonna win? Well, don’t you think you had better work your butt off for that side?”

This was the danger of letting bureaucracies rise to overshadow a free republic. The founders knew it and the Progs have been working hard to beat back the restrictions. For sure Ronbo, the Progs have won that part of the battle.

  26. Guys and gals did you hear that the FCC has now changed its stance on internet censorship.
