Like with the Adelaide fire and the ensuing deaths, the environmentalists responsible for not clearing the underbrush in California should be held responsible.

“According to the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE), shrubs and live and dead vegetation are the most important factor in forest fires, being an easily ignitable fuel source that helps spread the flames quickly over vast distances. For a dry and warm state prone to fires, regular clearing measures removing this vegetation should be common sense. However, California has enacted several laws that heavily restrict such vital fire-preventing measures as logging, removal of dead trees, and clearing of dry underbrush.”

Guardian: C4 calls in security experts after presenter suffers online abuse.

“Newman has faced a wave of abuse and threats online, including on Twitter. There is no suggestion that Peterson, Delingpole or Murray are behind the threats or instigated them [and so we suggest it in our patented smarmy way].”

Look to the deranged Left Sinister you are forever nurturing “Guardians.”

People who liked the outcome have no desire to see any harm come to the lady.

OTOH, it’s your creatures who can’t stand to lose any ground on their road to destructiveness. So her failure for your cause is an unforgivable sin. Stalin wasn’t an outlier; he is your prototype.

    • Gregoryno6 says:

I would have expected a few examples of the ‘misogynistic abuse’. Quotes or screencapped tweets.
      Odd.
I’m not assuming the story is a total beat-up, but I’m surprised the Gaaardian didn’t grab the chance to name and shame a few vile right-wingers.

      • Pascal says:

Well, given that SJWs have a consistent history of faux threats that could explain it.

          • Pascal says:

No doubt about the bots Darin,

On FB, Peterson posted this Guardian story along with a defense of Newman. The two most highly rated commented last night both sounded like GOPe types. They fed into the Guardian’s suggestion that the Right was responsible for the threats. And both had 45 likes or loves. So naturally they were at the top.

My observation — that the Right when it wins doesn’t threaten those it bested — got lost in the numbers game.

But the Left fosters sore losers — resentment is its primary offering nowadays — and its most deadly members it pardons with silence or, when cornered, with apologetics.

Cornering them, using this opportunity with its farce of a notion that it’s the right Newman has to fear, is what we must not fail to do. But with prudence, just in case it’s a set-up.

      • Darin says:

Reminds me of a cat,he was the company cat at a sand screening plant. There was a big,10-15 hp three phase electric blower that exhausted hot air and dust from a rotary kiln there. One cold morning I was there to change out some conveyor rollers when they were firing up the plant.
Plant manager turns the blower on and we hear a few clunks, the blower starts up shaking off the mounts and out comes this cat at a high rate of speed. He bounces off a Propane tank, jumps up and runs off.
Got the blower shut off and the cat had gone through it bending the blower wheel shaft and blades.
About lunch time, the guys are sitting around a picnic table by the workshop and here comes the cat casually strolling up missing a bit of fur in sopts but otherwise good.
The plant manager saw it and said-“well if that f–ker has 9 lives he just burnt ten of them”

    • Gregoryno6 says:

Three tweets? The Guardian article cited a ‘wave of abuse and threats’.
These selections are abusive yes but where are the threats?

      • Pascal says:

Deliberately leaving authors’ names off, so unattributed abuses mind you.

As for the threats, well, if they exist (and it wouldn’t surprise me if they do), that would force legal authorities (if there are any legitimate authorities left in UK) to demand to see who the authors are, wouldn’t it?

And you and I can bet on who the real suspects are, can’t we?

I’m beginning to wonder if indeed there are idiots on the Right who would have, could have sent Newman threats. The reason for that wondering is because I’m saddened by seeing nobody else saying that the winner doesn’t stomp on the loser. That only sore-losers do that. That the Left is pissed by Newman not only losing the debate, but was a traitor for giving Peterson a platform to air his rebuttals. So it is the radicals who have motive to slam her and threaten her.

The academic who wrote this trash concludes with ‘..Finally, we need to get clear on our history.’
Sure – but whose “history”, Max? The maori grievance “history” one, in which maori were a bunch of brown angels living in some bucolic paradise until evil whitey turned up and murdered lots and stole their land and wiped out their traditional food supplies and sophisticated legal protections and education and medical systems, comfortable weatherproof housing, reliable heating and transportation and warm clothing, to name a few?
Or the real one? In which maori are the ungrateful, whining beneficiaries of a thousand or more years of civilization which stopped their habits of tribal warfare, intermittent starvation and the keeping of slaves and eating one another? And let’s not get into how many so-called “full and final” guilt settlements the heartless invaders have paid to a people who abuse their own kids in record numbers, rob and assault one another and foreign tourists with monotonous frequency and who themselves are the most racist bastards I’ve ever come across.
The settlement payments disappear into some black hole inhabited by consultants, scammers and “leaders”, and when those vermin run out of money it’s back to the corrupt and lawless Waitangi Tribunal for another dose of money which the evil (largely) white taxpayer actually had to work to earn. And meanwhile fuck-all of that money will trickle down to ordinary maori.
So no, very many Kiwis won’t be learning the language which was largely invented by whitey anyway. You’ll have to do what your rotten totalitarian Marxist lot do so well – use braindead leftist teachers to indoctrinate kids, because grown-up Kiwis refuse to waste precious hours learning a useless language in order to join your vomitous virtue signalling wankcircle. Please forgive me for being a bit more cynical. I think what he was really saying is that Brexit will not now be as complete a return of sovereignty as he feared it would be, and that Britain will remain well shackled “in transition” to the EU for so long the next generation will forget to finish the job.
