The state of California is considering a bill that would punish waiters at sit-down restaurants with up to six months in jail and a fine of up to $1,000, for offering customers straws — because straws are bad for the environment.

Malarkey of this sort has been encouraged by LA City council for at least a dozen years, and it’s getting worse. I’d like to see the mayor get spit on by a cop. It’s only fair.
I remember a time when drinking straws were made from paper. The greenies thought that was a waste of trees and demanded they be made of plastic. Some people just cannot be happy without a bullshit reason to whine like the bitchy little liberals they are.

If you think about it, this makes even the Nazis look good. When the Nazis went to war, 25% of the workforce was in some way or another involved in the war, including war supplies. To do this they had to close restraunts down.
When they did this, the people lost confidence in the Nazis, so they had to reopen restraunts, as that was something the middle class expected. This is because the power of Nazism is when the people believed the illusion that the Nazis were out to help.
When that was weakened they had to bring back a good looking image. So if the government is now saying you can’t have this luxury, watch out government.
