Blunting The Tip of the Spear

Marines quietly lower combat training standards to help female officers-

Read it here-

“With no notice and little formal explanation, the Marine Corps altered one of its notoriously grueling rites of passage late last year, changing the combat endurance test on the first day of its Infantry Officer Course from a pass/fail requirement to an unscored exercise.”

“Marine 2nd Lt. Sage Santangelo wrote in a March 2014 opinion editorial in The Washington Post that when she attempted the course that year, 28 lieutenants, including the three other women also taking the course, had dropped along with her after the combat endurance test.

At the time Santangelo took the course, 14 women had attempted it. All but one had dropped during the combat endurance test — and the one who passed the test ultimately had to drop the course due to stress fractures in her foot.”

Diversity, even if it kills them huh?

“It’s not difficult to understand why the test has presented such a barrier to women. In addition to other physically and mentally challenging tasks, it requires Marines to hike miles with combat loads weighing 80 pounds or more and complete an obstacle course that includes scaling a 20-foot rope multiple times and getting over an eight-foot bar.

On average, female Marines, shorter and lighter than their male counterparts, are carrying a higher percentage of their body weight and stand a greater risk of injury as a result.

The extreme standards of the combat endurance test have sparked vigorous debate about whether it serves as an accurate evaluation of Marines’ leadership skills on combat or merely a kind of grueling initiation rite.”

Maybe it has a lot to do with endurance in combat? And it’s not just a barrier to women who can’t make the cut,it’s also a barrier to men who can’t make the cut.But as usual “eqaulity” means lowering standards to meet quota.Everyone gets a medal!Yeah!

And for extra ponts, why is Mattis continuing the work of his Obama era predecessor Ash Carter?

Indeed. What exactly are men afraid of? Hissy fits? Sulks? No sex for a week?
I never thought I’d find myself thinking that it’s time effing wimmin and their nancy-boy allies were put in their damn place, told to shut up on pain of a thorough beating – or worse – and leave men to get on with the job.
I am so fucking sick of this pandering to women.

Not only women but blacks, homosexuals, muslims, millennnials, etc. It must be degrading to have the left side of the spectrum continually pointing out that you are unable to achieve without continual assistance.

I can only conclude, from the preponderance of evidence that has been piling up over the last several years, that we intend to lose every war we “fight”. There can be no other explanation.

‘Walk softly and carry a big stick’ has been replaced by ‘Bluster a lot and carry a pencil and lose war after war.’

The US military is what they call in Texas; All hat and no cattle.

As Trump would say; “Very bad”. But wait, isn’t he in charge of this?

LOL. That’s what teen Hogg, who stooged for CNN and his FBI father, and whose flubbing-lines video is now removed by Youtube because it exposes them, said: ‘If the FBI didn’t do their job it’s Trump’s fault because he is their boss.’

Inconsistency of by Left Sinister is no surprise. The swamp takes some time for draining if that’s what Trump is really doing. I’m skeptical too Fred.

KG, we’ve had this discussion before; “decisions” like this prove your point. I’ve said before, right here as well as other locations, that women be allowed, IN TRAINING, to attempt the same jobs as men. IF they are able to DO the jobs, to the SAME level of efficiency as men, by God, LET them do so. If they CAN’T achieve the same proficiency as men, dammit, put them in jobs where LIVES won’t be lost.
I did NOT have my job eased for me because I’m a woman – had to do the same as the men; maybe I went about it differently, but I got it DONE.
    DAMN, this makes me angry!!

This is a failed experiment by social engineers and instead of admitting the experiment failed, now they have gone back and changed the parameters. They will continue changing them, until they get what they want, readiness and competience be damned.

Sure there are a few women that can handle the requirements, but very few, last I looked there were just 55 women who qualified as combat infantry, just enough for a couple platoons. How much did this experiment cost is what I want to know.To me this looks like an expensive, time consuming way to build a military fighting force, with a still questionable outcome. How long will these exceptions to the rule last in service?

Are we taking the expensive unicorn weapons developement process and applying it to infantry now?I don’t see this experiment ending well, either for the nation or for the women involved.

Just like the calls for men’s sports teams to be “gender balanced”, this isn’y about giving women equal opportunities (something I support totally, by the way).
It’s about destroying any and all male institutions.

  5. K2 says:

The military is the LAST place for political correctness. Screwing with it indicates the nation isn’t serious about defending themselves. The Israelis tried sexually integrated combat troops and quickly canceled the experiment after a few battles determined it was impracticable. “Making America Great Again” means getting serious about defense, so the next engagement with a sophisticated foreign power doesn’t turn into a US rout.

    • Gregoryno6 says:

      Slightly off topic…
As some of you would know I send Christmas packages to the troops fighting abroad. In previous years I’ve received thank-yous that were personally written.
This year, I ‘ve had two responses and they were identical. It appears that the ADF has gone for the ‘here’s something we prepared earlier’ tactic.
It’s polite as far as it goes, but…
      A – it doesn’t mention Christmas, and
B – ‘Thank You’ is spelt out on kiddly building blocks. In the colours of the rainbow.
I contacted another package sender in the eastern states, and she’s received the same response.
Why was this deemed to be necessary? (Rhetorical question, but feel free to post your answers.)

      • KG says:

All part of the dumbing down transexual anti-male drive to bring the ADF into line with every other snivelling PC organisation, Gregory.
Insulting bastards. They might find the Indonesians and the Chinese are somewhat less ‘sensitive’ in the near future……..

  7. Ronbo says:

Nothing new here – The U.S. Army always had separate P.T. tests and training standards for male and female soldiers dating back to the founding of the WACS in 1917 – In regards to losings wars – the U.S. military has never lost a war – For instance, the military pulled out of Vietnam in good order and with its combat kit in 1973 – Yes, our gallant allies the South Vietnamese lost in 1975 to the Communist hordes – because the Democrat controlled Congress cut off military aid….The ARVIN literally ran out of ammunition.

Also, the thing about military training is that many officers and enlisted troops who do well in training turn out to be cowards or go completely insane when the first hostile shot is fired at them….So training standards can only do so much – Yes, get the body in shape, Yes, train the soldier in the use of weapons, but nothing can be done to prepare the mind for the chaos of war….except getting into combat.

This is the reason the U.S. Army always comes out of a war with a better military than it went into the war…The cowards…The marginally insane…The Sad Sacks have long disappeared either back into civilian life or In The Rear With The Gear.

So there are two military establishments in every country: The peace time service that plays the P.C. game for the politicians and looks pretty on parade- and the War Corps – the heroes – the band of brothers – the warriors – who perform unbelievable acts of valor in the defense of liberty.http://falfn.com/CrusaderRabbit/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_good.gif

So where the fuck in the middle of a desert war does a woman change her sanitary pads, have period pain or just go off the boil at that time of the month? Excuse my plain speaking but if she has to shower with men will she complain that some of them looked at her? Feminists happily chuck women under the bus in the guise of empowering them. It sickens me.
