Kavanaugh fights back

Finally,it looks like we have a judge with a spine-

The Daily Caller-

Kavanaugh wrote that he will not be “intimidated” by the “smear” accusations against him.

“I will not be intimidated into withdrawing from this process. The coordinated effort to destroy my good name will not drive me out. The vile threats against my family will not drive me out. The character assassination will not succeed,” Kavanaugh said.

The letter called the accusations against him a “grotesque and obvious character assassination.”

Now,if we could just get some Republicans to sprout a spine…

  1. And he has Trump’s support.

  2. Dan says:

If he REALLY wants to fight back he files lawsuits for defamation of character via libel and slander. A lawsuit will FORCE the accusers to produce real evidence or lose. And he needs to include Fords attorney, Seen. Find and anyone else involved. As long as there are no painful consequences for such egregious abuses they have no reason to refrain from these agenda driven lies.

  3. tranquil says:

The accusations have as much chance of being true as the chance of **Elvis** being found alive!

The thing is – I’ve seen a bit of background on the woman who is “next cab on the rank” if Kavanaugh doesn’t get appointed. She is apparently vastly MORE conservative than Kavanaugh is!
So (surprise surprise) the left are shooting themselves in the foot (again….. ).

    • Darin says:

I think Kavanaugh will be nominated and I also think either Ginsberg or Breyer will either die in office or retire. He’s 80 and she’s 85,so the clock is winding down so to speak.
I also think the reason for this massive last minute push by the dems,is because their own internal polling tells them their “blue wave” isn’t going to materialize.

And yes,Barret or Pryor either one would make liberal heads explode.I also heard someone suggest recently that the 9th circuit should be broken up and a new 12th circuit created to be made up of California,Oregon and Washington, basically confining three of the most liberal states into one circuit which could then be packed with young, conservative judges effectively stopping a lot liberal legal skull duggery in it’s tracks.

    • Grog says:

I’ve considered him as a younger Lou Dobbs for a few years, the level of practical thinking in that analysis can’t be disputed, except by losers and hypocrites.

  4. Michael in Nelson says:

No testimony for any Kavanaugh accuser?

Rameriz has flatly said (through her lawyers) she will not cooperate with the Committee and now Ford’s lawyer is hedging their bets. The current objection seems to be that the Republicans have hired a female sex crime prosecutor. The money quote from the attorney is:

“In our view, the hiring of an unnamed ‘experienced sex crimes prosecutor’ as Mr. Davis described in his email, is contrary to the Majority’s repeated emphasis on the need for the Senate and this Committee’s members to fulfill their constitutional obligations,” wrote lawyer Michael Bromwich. “It is also inconsistent with your stated wish to avoid a ‘circus,’ as well as Dr. Blasey Ford’s repeated requests through counsel that senators conduct the questioning.”

So now the strategy comes out. They wanted the Senators to do the interrogations so they could claim she was being bullied and abused.

    *SPIT!*

    • Grog says:

And now there’s another “woman” who gave a sworn deposition to the scumbag attorney cavinati (deliberately mis-spelled), there’s no length these hypocrites will not go to in order to ruin Judge Cavanaugh. http://falfn.com/CrusaderRabbit/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_wacko.gif

      • Darin says:

One of the local radio guys did a skit where he came on air sobbing and said he had a story that he finally needed to tell.

He said he was molested by Dianne Feinstein at a drunken party that took place in the heady days shortly after the Civil War

This was my first time viewing WeAreChange. I think you will agree that this Kavanaugh show is covered very well by WAC.

Before I ask you to hear what he says, let me say that K must be confirmed or we will have witnessed a very nasty public insistence on accepting the Napoleonic code of guilty until proven innocent — the end of what has been the core of American justice.

    https://youtu.be/-O2Idh__Ugo?t=701

I think that if we were to find that K’s rulings are as Statist in nature as WAC says — and some of you may recall that we already had suspicions — then we will come to look at (and rue) the outrageous nature of the attacks – timing and zero facts, evidence and witnesses — on K as a smokescreen to prevent anything coming out about his big state rulings.

After all, such rulings are exactly the kind of thing of which the Left and SKUNC/Nevertrumpers approve. Kabuki theater is what you’ve heard me call it. It a game that has been done before by the Progs.

For if K is voted down, that is another nail in the coffin of the basic right of innoncent until proven guilty. WAC is very clear that he is not interested in the ends justifying the means tactics without saying those words. He’d be well served to use it even if he sees it as cliched.

We are damned if we insist that K is unsuitable because of his rulings, or damned if he actually fails to be confirmed since it will be seen as the death of due process and fire up the Sinister to do more of it.

Once again my friends, KG and Darin are right about what is really needed. Stock up on lots of it and hide it out where the reactionaries can’t find it.

    • Darin says:

Buying it cheap and stacking it deep as we speak Pascal.I don’t think these leftist asshats realise the epic ass beating that’s headed thier way once they succeed in destroying the rule of law.
I for one will have no qualms about dropping the hammer on every single one of them. There comes a time when evil, and make no mistake they are evil, must be destroyed.

  6. Napoleonic Code is precisely what has been used in the Kavanaugh hearing. I’m glad to see someone else notice that.

This has been the highlight of the day:

Alyssa Milano advocate of these women is herself dressing up like a dirty slut. Totally destroys her credibility.

  8. Pascal says:

Let me follow up my caveats of yesterday posted above with Daniel Greenfield:

The last time the Democrats put a Republican nominee through hell, he became the most conservative justice on the Supreme Court. Looking at Kavanaugh’s anger, it’s hard to believe that he’ll forget.

    Even if he forgives.

Kavanaugh would have been a moderate. He’s replacing a moderate. But forged in the fires of a lefty hell, Democrats may have just created the most conservative justice on the Supreme Court.

IOW, no matter how Statist inclined Kavanaugh may have been before his ordeals, being on the receiving end is likely to have burnt such delusions all away.

And not just his delusions. I’ve a feeling that the hearings have tipped a large number of “undecideds” away from the Dems.

  10. Cadwallader says:

I have sat through many boring hours in court-rooms and believe I could smash Ford in only a few sentences and depict her as a fabulist to an extent she’d fade into oblivion. Here we go:
She claims the incident she claims to have endured as a 15 year old has “ruined my life!” But hold on: She also claims that the incident re-surfaced for the first time as recently as 2012 when she’d have been in her late 40s. So; was her life in the intervening 30+ years ruined or just put on hold pending her bubbling need to be in the limelight on behalf of an ethics devoid gaggle of Democrats? In those three decades was she simply a quivering wreck due to the alleged actions of a youth at High School or, more likely, it never happened hence her life proceeded as everyone else’s. She can’t have it both ways.

  11. Cadwallader says:

I overlooked saying how much I enjoyed the observations off Sen Lindsey Graham during the Ford/Kavanagh circus. Politicians who express themselves as well as he does are rare.http://falfn.com/CrusaderRabbit/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_good.gif
