Rod Rosenstein has been doling out over $24 million in taxpayer funds to state bureaucrats in Nevada and California under the guise of ‘helping’ the victims of the Mandalay Bay massacre shooting.

Today he announced a new award of over $8 million to assist victims in California but the funds, like a previous $16 million Nevada, do not go directly to the victims. It goes to law enforcement and state boards who can give it to victims — or anyone else — they see fit.”

Then, not thugs in sunglasses and epaulettes, not oligarchs in private jets, not shaggy would-be Marxists, but sanctimonious arrogant bureaucrats in suits and ties used their government agencies to seek to overturn the 2016 election, abort a presidency, and subvert the U.S. Constitution. And they did all that and more on the premise that they were our moral superiors and had uniquely divine rights to destroy a presidency that they loathed.
        BRAVO!

I’m left speechless. The model of care is the problem. Direct entry midwives (those that do not even have a basic nursing degree) who have no medical oversight are the problem. One cannot simply compare neonatal deaths under midwifery care to those under specialist medical care because the women and babies with predicted poor outcomes are (usually) referred to the medical specialists. That there is a higher mortality (the only measure quoted) under midwifery care speaks volumes. Other outcome are mentioned but we still do not have a measure of damaged babies, mainly through hypoxia at birth leading onto cerebral palsy and poor academic performance, and damaged mothers with life long fecal and urinary incontenance, resulting from this model of care introduced by then Minister of Health Helen Clark.

  21. Cadwallader says:

As promised I am reporting on my experience at Professor Peterson’s Wellington presentation.

    A preamble
a Professor Peterson is not simply a very clever man but he is a decent man who builds not deconstructs. He is an emotional man who cried when talking about the suicide of a friend at age 40.
b In the two days since I saw him my own thoughts and responses have become integrated with his address (for that I apologise but it was inevitable that the experience would leave me mulling for some time afterwards.)
c Professor Peterson began his address by detailing how he selects a topic to speak about on a given evening., The Wellington topic was “Toxic Masculinity.” So here goes…

Toxic Masculinity is not what feminists would claim as men behaving badly. It is the dividend of men who have suffered at the hands of the world. (I shall refer to Professor Peterson as “Jordan” henceforth.) Jordan was emphatic that there is Toxic Femininity and an overarching Toxic Humanity. Why has Humanity become “toxic?”

The reason is readily identifiable. Young humans are instilled with overwhelming guilt as they pass through what is said to be education. The best example is the climate change scam. As humans we are meant to believe that we are totally responsible for the earth’s change in climate and this is an indisputable fact. So instead of embarking on adult life with a broad appreciate of reasoned debate we are to begin it with a burden of guilt which is derived not from science but from idiotic and unquestionable dogma. This is particularly telling on young men. A young man growing up on a farm is instructed by his “teachers” that each time he ploughs a field or turns on his irrigators he is harming the planet rather than managing, nurturing and releasing the planet’s potential. At best young men are left confused, at worst they are left drowning in nihilism. It is from this “dark” place (Jordan uses the word dark a lot) that young men start to conduct their adult lives. They are likely to start to abuse drugs (Jordan warned loudly about the effects of marijuana on young brains) and take risks as to hazardous activities and relationships with women. You can see how toxicity is germinated. As a species we are being subjugated, blamed and essentially written-off as pernicious and pointless.

Jordan states, with research to back him, that the most vulnerable young people are boys without fathers. In fact one is better to have an indifferent father to not having a father at all. Fatherless boys top the statistics in school failures, violent crime, drug abuse and marriage breakdowns. They are boats without rudders (as indeed is the farmer’s son who is told his lifestyle is destroying the planet!)

Having said this Jordan builds-up and refuses to wallow in nihilism. He says that a man ought aim to be “dangerously useful” as opposed to being “dangerously useless.” In non-thinking feminist dogma the perfect man is a harmless man. A man who won’t challenge, a man who is always obsequious and compliant. The dangerously useful man is the man who suspends his own interests for his occupation. The obvious examples are firefighters, military personnel, surgeons and scientists. These are the men who are decried as “the patriarchy” by the haters but it is the patriarchy, we as humans, ought be most grateful. As humans we forget how wonderful our lives are based on the stream of our achievements…we go home we flick a switch and we have power, we know that an ambulance will arrive if we are ill, that a trained doctor will care for us, that an army of plumbers ensure that our streets are not knee-deep in sewage etc..in other words humans are pretty damn marvellous. A bit messy but marvellous! Unfortunately we are berated by our (ahem “betters”) in academia when we sing our own song rather than cowering before the rhetoric that less successful species are our superiors.

What I expect is that for several months at least Jordan’s presentation will scratch my thinking in many different ways and in many different contexts. In other words you’ve not heard the last from me!

    Two further things
a Since the presentation I have read two reviews of it written by two young women (so-called journalists) who berated Jordan as anti-feminist, alt-right etc.. Neither actually used the Nazi label but they got damn close. I suspect they may have written their garbage before the presentation if indeed they actually attended?
b On a personal note my own father died from a disease at age 29 when I was 28 days old back in 1952. My mother did a commendable job as a parent but needless to say got some things wrong. At age 16 I had no idea really who I was or who I wished to be. I can see with hindsight how closely I walked along the lip of a precipice but one thing my mother instilled in me was the need for self respect and self-preservation. I worked in menial jobs for 5-6 years before self-funding my tertiary education. In the menial jobs I frequently witnessed the brutish and arrogant behaviour of trades-union and their blind embittered memberships and I have detested them ever since.

Finally: Jordan spoke of the sovereignty of the human individual. This is a topic I first read about decades ago amongst the now largely discredited musings of Ayn Rand. That can wait until next time.http://falfn.com/CrusaderRabbit/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_bye.gif

    Victor Davis Hanson:
‘Racism Against “Racists” Is Not Racism

Yet the third, most important, and most ignored reaction was that in some sense Smollett himself was a racist and had committed a hate crime.
His farce is yet another example that it is now largely permissible to slur and smear millions of purported Trump supporters, as either defined by their stereotyped race and gender or their red hats (with or without a logo). As pundits and talking heads nearly wept on screen in their worries about future potential hate crimes that might now not be taken seriously, they abjectly ignored the real hate crime that had just occurred. In truth, Smollett had done his best to ignite some sort of popular racially driven vendetta against conservative white male voters, previously known as “clingers,” “crazies,” “deplorables,” and “irredeemables” who, our elites warn, smell up Walmart, gross America out with toothless smiles, and should be swapped out for new immigrants…
