Pascal, I hope you don’t mind if I squeeze in as well. From the article, critics have said the study used the COVID19 virus not the vaccine. They could have a valid point because, while it is known that the spike protein is what the virus uses to attach to the cell, other parts of its genome may be necessary for the virus to enter the nucleus and force it to replicate the pathogen. It is of great concern that the vaccine did not undergo proper trials before distribution especially given the extent of the serious side effects. That other potentially devastating effects are yet to manifest would not surprise me.
I’m sure mawm has more information and will provide a more detailed comment.
From the reference given to Virus (the journal), in “in vitro” testing it is the virus spike protein that is entering the nucleus of the cell and inhibiting DNA repair by impeding two key DNA repair proteins’ recruitment to the damaged site. He’s drawing a long bow by connecting the vaccine spike protein to the actual virus and there’s a whole lot of waffle to try and say the mRNA is being incorporated into the nuclear DNA. Reverse transcriptases are present but have they been shown to facilitate corona virus mRNA being written into the DNA? I don’t think so.
No matter what all is okay and can be cured by a nightly glass of red wine as espoused by St Paul.

That article is quite worrying. There is such manipulation of fact or plain BS such as:-
“Spike protein produced by injected RNA vaccines has been found in the nucleus of living cells and can weaken the human immune response and impair immunity.” – it is quite clearly not vaccine spike protein, it’s ‘in vitro’ and they have no evidence that this has an effect on immunity.
“If DNA damage cannot be properly repaired, it will contribute to the amplification of viral infection-induced pathology.” – as above.
“..for a virus that turned out to be no more deadly or infective than the common cold or the flu..” – maybe I could give him some leeway if he referred to a bad flu, but the common cold? Really!

I was aware of bits and pieces of what the author said but the totality and timeline are very revealing. Some of the information makes the article cited by Pascal above not so unreasonable after all. What distresses me most perhaps is the acceptance of (yet another) consensus of the science when none exists.
Today is the 80th anniversary of the infamous attack on Pearl Harbour. Never forgotten; may those Americans killed rest in peace.

I already buy as much locally as I can, one reason-because the Chinese have been allowed to buy and operate American food processors. Smithfield is one such example.

I hate to tell the victims, but the primary reason to ban smoking is that tissues labeled “nicotine-free” bring a higher premium at auctions for body parts.
Got a flier in the post today explaining the restrictions under the Traffic Light system. Even under Green, those without a vaccine pass will be excluded from restaurants, pubs and cafes. Oh, yeah, any close contact business like hairdressers too. Better learn to cut your own hair.
Of course we must remember the Government is not mandating you get the vaccine (they say so, just ask your MP).
I had my hair cut by a very friendly Samoan guy out on his deck. Cash, no receipt. It’s a nice little blackmarket Ardolf has created.
I’m getting more and more pressure from those around me who have been vaccinated to get vaccinated. The science says don’t do it.
Being a widower and living alone, I have had a limited social life which suits me. I belong to a fishing club, went fishing with friends, played cribbage one a week with a group of similar aged people, and occasionally went out to eat. I also visited my old office bringing flowers to the Office Manager who was good friends with my wife.
With the current restrictions, without a pass, I can no longer enter the office, go into the club where the cribbage group plays, attend the fishing club monthly meetings because they meet in the Fish & Game rooms or go to a restaurant or cafe.
At least my friends are less worried about catching the disease from me than me catching it from them. One even opined that the restrictions are to protect the unvaccinated.
You sincerely have my sympathy. But for the guidance of Heaven, or luck, I might be in a similar situation, though not yet as strict, as yours.
Michael, it is quite evil what is happening in NZ, and elsewhere. The restrictions on the unvaccinated will affect people like you and me who don’t have a wide social circle and have our social contact limited to one or two groups of similarly aged. My biking group decided to exclude the unvaccinated – because we stop for coffee at various cafes and have very loud conversations. This was prior to Jacinda’s diktats. The fear runs deep.
As, I’m sure you are well aware, social contact is extremely important for mental wellbeing, especially in the ageing. What Jacinda is doing amounts to deliberate mental torture. Anybody who makes any comment on her empathy as in ChCh massacre gets a sharp response from me that her behaviour is psychopathic.
Unfortunately the opposition parties have really never promised anything other than more of the same. Unless something changes there is nothing to look forward to as the NWO/WEF take over our lives and livelihood. I’m intent on just quietly going on doing my thing and ignoring them.
Thanks for your concern Pascal. Mawm, I find it impossible to discuss any of this with friends except in a superficial way because they believe the governments has their best interests in mind when setting regulations. They also find it hard to accept the vaccine has serious adverse side effects.
Yes friends don’t help. They all point to “self-imposed” isolation. We are not the only ones. I mentioned Kiwiblog daily General Discussion. I’m amazed at how many people are so against both vaccines and mandates.
I don’t know your age or physical status but for myself I’m healthy (apart from various parts that have worn out and replacement of the first was done at the beginning of lockdowns) and I am confident in my risk/benefit being towards not getting vaccinated.
My MP who is the leader of the most libertarian party in NZ thinks it’s OK to enforce vaccines.
maum, I’m reasonably healthy for almost 3/4 of a century. I have all my own joints and almost no arthritis. I can fish most of a day and not hurt too much the next morning. I have some of the other ‘senior’ issues (BP, mild asthma) but they are well controlled with medication. I don’t have a compromised immune system or any other co-morbidities that I am aware of. All-in-all I should I catch COVIC19, I believe I stand a very good chance of a total recovery. That of course, counts for nothing. Honestly though, I don’t know how long I can hold out with so little social contact.
