Don’t depend on the Cops

In the latest copycat school shooting, after initial contact and retreat, the local cops decided to wait for backup before entering the school and dealing with the threat…..for an hour. It’s worth remembering that police and fire are not required to risk their lives to save anyone, that some do is a testament to their personal heroism. Then there is the time delay, when seconds count the police are minutes away. So when SHTF, you’re on your own. It’s up to you, to defend you and those you love.

It’s very possible that at least some of the kids that died, did so because of blood loss and might have been saved,IF police had acted sooner. As a male, I understand that my life is expendable when it comes time to defend the innocent. That is the ancient code that stretches back tens of thousands of years, we deal the threat and defend the tribe even if it costs us our lives.

Luckily there was one actual man there with the balls to end it.

Update: Officer Jacob Albarado was getting a hair cut when he received a message from his wife about the attack-

” Jacob Albarado had just sat down for a haircut when he received the horrifying message from his wife, Trisha, a fourth-grade teacher at the Uvalde, Texas, elementary school, he told the New York Times.

“There’s an active shooter,” she wrote. “Help,” she sent before sending a chilling: “I love you.”

He immediately leaped out of his seat, grabbed the barber’s shotgun and sped off toward the school.”

I have a new law that I believe will be a populist hit. Each time a judge or prosecutor goes soft on a criminal and that criminal strikes again, the judge or prosecutor gets either to serve the worst sentence for the first crime himself, or has done to him what the criminal did to his second victim(s).

Pascal, as a former police officer, a similar idea has crossed my mind occasonally. At the very least, judges should be held accountable in some way. If a police officer’s error of judgement results in death or injury, he or she is in deep shit, but judges and magistrates never face consequences for the deaths and injuries that often flow on from their decisions to grant bail to offenders who are an obvious risk, or to hand down meaningful sentences that keep them off the streets.

I would add DAs who refuse to prosecute.

Sen. Cornyn has long been on the SKUNC list. He’s been allied with the Bushes often, so his appointment to consort with the Dems by McConnell about gun restrictions and this statement taking our eyes off the LEO hold-back when there is live fire are not unexpected. https://thehill.com/news/senate/3505019-texas-senator-finger-pointing-at-authorities-after-shooting-destructive-distracting-and-unfair/

In trying to deflect our attention from the cowardice he’s hoping we don’t notice the huge yellow streak down his own back.
    SKUNC

Statist — seeking government power over all aspects of life.
Knowingly undermining our nation’s constitution which was designed to limit govt and allow citizens armed self defense.
