* CHILDREN OF ANY AGE TO CONSENT TO STERILISATION: If a psychiatrist decides that a child (under 18 years) has sufficient maturity, he or she will be able to consent to sterilisation. Parental consent will not be needed. Only after the sterilisation procedure has been performed does it have to be reported and then only to the Chief Psychiatrist…’
And it gets worse. Much worse.

    Perhaps people should offer alternative practical solutions.

    Just what should be done with out of control, mentally disturbed, physically violent children or teenagers whose parents are absent or unable to give consent.

      I don’t think it’s up to us to offer practical solutions, Pompuss.
      We can and will criticise and resist assaults on liberty and the family any time they appear.
      Offer alternatives, and the argument becomes one between alternative solutions and that, of course, will be owned by the “experts” and our voice will be shut out.
      Our job is to resist, to tell our employees this isn’t acceptable and to come back to us with something that is.

    I know a bloke who had electro-shock “treatment” in his bad-old-days. Anybody who could suggest it for a 12 year old is evil.
    Recidivist violent offenders… perhaps? But NO WAY should such drastic measures as shock therapy, restraints etc be considered for kids.
