I believe that it would take something far worse than simply seizing phone records to move the so called journalists to action. They have aided and abetted this President and his cronies for more than four years now. They did nothing when the White House threatened Bob Woodward for not keeping his mouth shut. They did nothing when Fox News is being left out of pressers, and they will do nothing because the AP was violated in their eyes.
Right now, Sharyl Attkisson is under fire at CBS for pursuing Benghazi when she was told to relent. I am certain that Ms. Attkisson is aware of her employer’s relationship with the Obama administration and she knew the risk that she was taking and now her job is on the line. But that relationship is one of many that the press has with the White House and Obama’s administration. There can be no such thing as a free press when it is beholden to government.
The New York Times received $250 million dollars from the Federal government to sustain it’s operations. How aggressive do you think it will be in the pursuit of governmental corruption? Many of the news people are former employees of the Democratic Party and many still have family employed with the DNC and government. Will they risk their family members to out Federal wrong doing? I think not.
Once you are aware of just how intricately intertwined the government and press really are, you begin to understand their silence on Benghazi. They are the whores of the left and I don’t expect that relationship to change (and as Barbara Walters has admitted that is often the case literally as well).
