James F. Fixx, who spurred the jogging craze with his best-selling books about running and preached the gospel that active people live longer, died of a heart attack Friday while on a solitary jog in Vermont. He was 52 years old.

I recall noticing many years ago, back in the early 80’s in fact, that most of the people who worked in health food stores looked pretty unhealthy themselves. I used to wonder about that.
Has anybody ever wondered why Vegans and, by extension, ‘Greens’ and ‘Holistics’ of any persuasion are collectively so incredibly stupid that debating with them on any subject, even subjects well outside of their superstitions, is like wading neck deep through a swamp of intellectual treacle?
The reason is simple: animal protein is the source of the majority of the essential amino acids that together with glucose and fatty acids make up neurotransmitters. High levels of the amino acid tyrosine, for example, not only causes neurones to manufacture norepinephrine and dopamine, two neurotransmitters that promote alertness and mental activity, but is also essential for the manufacture of active thyroid hormones, a deficiency of which causes severe mental retardation and, in the extreme, cretinism.
Just sayin’. , now off to finish my non-halal steak sandwich but before I go I would like to mention that whilst Homo sapiens sapiens is omnivorous Ursus maritimus is wholely carnivorous and, measured by the yardstick of its survival demands in a particularly demanding environment, is pretty damned smart. (Also, Ursus M like to eat Vegans despite their poor nutritional benefit and amino acid deficiency – which probably makes UM some sort of racist to boot.
