Like so many recently, this decision appears to have more to do with social work than an employment dispute.

Ahmed Alkazaz, 31, lost his lucrative position in New Zealand days before his wedding in Egypt, which he’d poured his savings into – and had to spend his honeymoon applying for jobs.
The Employment Relations Authority ruled he was unjustifiably sacked and has awarded him $35,500 in lost wages, compensation and part of the financial penalty imposed on his former employer, Enterprise IT.
‘Judge Gaynor said she was worried the victims would think the court was allowing the offender to go an ‘exotic holiday’.
But she said his recent good behaviour needed to be considered.
‘This is a matter of honour… people are putting a lot of trust in you,’ Judge Gaynor said.’
I have never, ever heard of a single bureaucrat or judge admitting responsibility when thugs on bail or parole go on to re-offend. It’s about time these bastards faced mandatory – and stiff – penalties when their “compassion” is proved to be ill-founded. Their acts have enable further offending and in some cases murder. Let’s make them responsible for their actions, just as the rest of us are.

Of the dozens of articles about Trump and his Administration,(many of them sourced from the equally partisan Washington Post) I can recall only one positive item.
The NZ Herald is a festering pimple on the arse of real journalism, pushing various “progressive” agendas and providing almost no space to dissenting opinions unless it’s to ridicule and distort them.
Or perhaps the price of governing with Greens support? That this clown would take any notice at all of the discredited, scamming Gore tells us more than she might wish us to know about her gullibility – and ignorance of science.
