‘Forget global warming – it’s Cycle 25 we need to worry about

The supposed ‘consensus’ on man-made global warming is facing an inconvenient challenge after the release of new temperature data showing the planet has not warmed for the past 15 years.
The figures suggest that we could even be heading for a mini ice age to rival the 70-year temperature drop that saw frost fairs held on the Thames in the 17th Century.
Based on readings from more than 30,000 measuring stations, the data was issued last week without fanfare by the Met Office and the University of East Anglia Climatic Research Unit. It confirms that the rising trend in world temperatures ended in 1997…’

Mind you, at 10:30pm here it’s almost 30c and 90% humidity. No breeze. A little global cooling would be very welcome.

  2. Darin says:

It’s 65*F,40% humidity and clear beautiful blue skies here, life is good.

Many people fail to fully understand just what our giant glowing nuclear reactor in the sky is capable of.It’s only because of it that life is possible here and it’s only because of it’s relative stability that life will continue here.

The ending scenes of the Scfi-flick “Knowing” gives us a good idea of what an extinction level event involving the Sun would look like

The use of Beethoven’s 7th symphony,2nd movement was brilliant IMHO-

“And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. 2And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. 4And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away”

  3. Flashman says:

It’s the Sun I tell you.

    Surprise!

    It always was.

    And always will be.

  4. Redbaiter says:

The scientific community now politicised beyond repair.

    Fuck em. All communist bastards.

  5. Redbaiter says:

    Well, almost all.

  6. Kris K says:

Which just goes to show, once again, that “Man made Global Warming” is a religion, and not science.

These Gaia worshipping Wiccans/Greenists need to be exposed for the danger they represent to a civil and free society.

  7. Octagongrappler says:

    Agreed Kris

Dr Patrick Moore the co founder of greenpeace has exposed the movement for what it is and he virtually gets no media time anymore.

    • Moist von Lipwig says:

Henrik Svensmark, director of the Center for Sun-Climate Research at Denmark’s National Space Institute shares your pessimism, Tentacled One.

‘It will take a long battle to convince some climate scientists that the sun is important. It may well be that the sun is going to demonstrate this on its own, without the need for their help.’

“The earth is round” caused a similar conundrum some years back
