Hope this aint a threadjack but

A special police recruitment seminar is being set up in Auckland specifically for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and intersex people who are interested in joining the police.
It comes after a recruitment information tent was run at the Big Gay Out and was inundated with interest.
At the planned seminar on 6 March, Diversity Liaison Officers will be on hand to answer any questions about working for the police on the frontline.

And with that it is about time to head for the hills

 Insanity! What is there left to say?

No such thing as a threadjack around here, Andrei. Off-topic comments are not only tolerated, they’re welcome. Some of our best links and comments come that way.

    Don’t Fence Me In

Oh, give me land, lots of land, under starry skies above,
    Don’t fence me in.
Let me ride through that wide open country that I love:
    Don’t fence me in.
Let me be by myself in the evenin’ breeze,
An’ listen to the murmur of the cottonwood trees.
Send me off forever but I ask you please,
    Don’t fence me in.

Just turn me loose, let me straddle my old saddle,
    Underneath the western skies.
On my cayuse, let me wander over yonder,
Till I see the mountains rise.

I want to ride to the ridge where the west commences,
An’ gaze at the moon till I lose my senses,
I can’t look at HOBBLES an’ I can’t stand fences:
    Don’t fence me in.

    Instrumental break.

So don’t fence me in, oh no,
Now brother, don’t you fence me in.

Per Wikipedia, a cayuse is “usually referring to a feral or low-quality horse or pony.”

    I’M JEALOUS!!

 Thanks DM. There’s not a heck of a lot out there, except space, quiet and a blessed absence of crowds. Most people just speed through on their way to somewhere, but look below the surface and these places have lots of wildlife and a culture and charm all their own.
    Expensive beer, though..

    • Darin says:

“Expensive beer” doesn’t that ride of yours have a trailer hitch? You know most pioneers heading west brought supplies with them after all

    • Andrei says:

Remember that video I showed you Igor Rasteryaev and his daisy song and how you wanted subtitles.

Well the things I do for you Keith – I did subtitle another song of his been sitting on it but it goes on this thread since you have expressed love of space and country people – this be filmed in the back of beyond – Raskovka
