‘It’s Alien vs Predator’

‘..This corrupt and broken government is in deep trouble, yet no one wants to admit it. Everyone else can see it is in terminal condition. Yet these two ego-maniacs keep ignoring reality and keep slugging it out to the bitter end.
It is not looking good for Australia. We need and deserve an election now. We want our country back...’                        source

Beat me to it. Australia’s worst-ever Prime Minister and the second-worst doing battle in a winner-take-nothing battle to the death to see who will captain the HMAS Australian Labor Party into the Abbott Ice Berg.

  2. KG says:

And they keep attacking Abbott, as though that somehow justifies this bloody shambles!
What worries me, though, is the amount of support Rudd has at street level. Labor voters must have lost whatever tiny minds they had.

  3. KG says:

The only line Abbott needs come the election is “There will be no carbon tax under a government I lead”.

  4. octagongrappler says:

If Krudd somehow gets the Nod then its dangerous territory. As you sa rudd has big support at public level but maybe not in the caucus.

If big kev gets back in does that mean a return to the BIG Australia and Asia Union…

The danger isn’t this run. Gillard has the numbers to win on Monday. The problem is, if Rudd isn’t humiliated with a massive defeat, he will sit n the back benches and plot and scheme. If Rudd gets close to 40 he will be back. Probably right before the next election, when the sugar hit (to quote Bolt) might push the ALP across the line.

The funniest thing I’ve heard in this whole embarrassing mess is both Rudd and Gillard shouting that Abbott isn’t fit to lead. Coming from those two!

The horror is Rudd offers more of exactly the same. It will be a change of personnel, not of policy. He’s already said he will push ahead with the carbon tax and he won’t fire anyone from the front bench. So it’s exactly the same policy platform.

    Meanwhile, the boats keep coming….

  8. You folks above said it all, i’m praying that gillard wins tomorrow. I’m pretty sure the voters who hate Abbott will vote for him just to spite her if she’s going into the election.

If rudd wins, it’s going to be a big worry, unfortunately there are enough people who believe that rudd was wronged and are willing to let the country bear another 3 years of him just to make him happy.

All this could be avoided if the labor party could muster some integrity and demonstrate their respect for the Australian people and call an election. Instead they continue to treat this country as if it’s their own.
